Satin must be cut on the bias and it is a very difficult fabric to wear. It shows every bulge, dimple, and panty line. It is the absolute worst possible choice for a diverse group of bridesmaids.

In that shot of Josh running, he's the only one not looking at the camera. Plus, you can really see the baldness setting in.

Surreptitiously checking his pits for stains. I'm surprised he didn't keel over, but then again, they probably only ran a few steps for the photog.

Jana, not Jessa, was a bridesmaid. All of Priscilla's sisters were bridesmaids, Suze included, but Daniel was not in the groom's party (but he was at the wedding). No word on whether either spoke with the parents but they did take a family picture so we know they were forced into close proximity with Pa Asswipe.

Please don't paint all Americans with the same brush - many, if not most of us, have small bridal parties and I definitely think the majority of us know not to try to make it all about us by kissing during the pictures. Smugger and Anna are just ignorant and full of themselves.

Every wedding I've been to has the bride in satin or "pouf"-y tulle. I like taffeta better; it rustles and has a more natural sheen.

I was raised that the wedding was the bride's day to shine. Thus, you are not supposed to take away from her day by dressing/behaving in an attention whore manner.

That's how I was raised as well. Smuggar is too much of an attention whore to let the wedding be about the bride.

My civil wedding I had 5, BUT a lot of those were childhood friends who i had promised like at 10 years old and they DID NOT FORGET. LOL However, for my Jewish wedding coming up in 3 weeks. I have 2, it was 3- 2 for my end of the chuppah and 1 witness, but one of them can't make it. So I have 2 my witness is gonna double as a chuppah bearer. Same for my husband. All i've asked is that they wear something purple. doesn't matter the shade, just purple. :) Doesn't have to be new, just purple. :) all of them have purple in their wardrobe.

I would have killed any wedding members that pulled a stunt like Smuggar and Anna. Seriously.

It's not an American tradition to have 10 bridesmaids. All the weddings I've ever been to have had 3 or 4. I think it's really tacky to have so many people in that wedding party, but I guess they do it because it's one of the few socially acceptable ways for unmarried fundie girls to meet boys they're not related to.

Speaking of Smuggar... he looks so unhealthy here. Those eyes... Yes, they have two little kids but Anna, who takes care of her THREE kids, doesn't look that tired at all. Smuggar must feel so bad physically, tired and greasy and sweaty and out of breath... It makes me uncomfortable to think about it (and I'm not that slim myself).

For a minute, I thought perhaps they had been asked to do so. I went to a wedding several years ago where all the married couples were asked to hold hands and remember their own wedding vows at a particular point in the ceremony. I could see a fundie ceremony taking that a step further. But, that doesn't make sense with the sunglasses/covering of the eyes.

If they dont' have permission to be here, at the least, they're inviting a ticket as tracks are private property. At the very worst they're going to smear a perfectly good train with fundy-flavored jelly and screw up their lives, the train crew's lives, and possibly their families' lives (not uncommon for these incidents to lead to loss of jobs or even suicides.)

What is it with fundies and train track pictures? Do they think they can stop a train with prayers? Apperently the SOTDRT doesn't include any lessons about physics or momentum.
