I won't say anything about it, beyond the fact that it is awesome, and if you think you might be the slightest bit interested, go see it. And don't let anyone spoil it for you.

It was okay. Though the component parts weren't too bad, I felt like it couldn't decide what kind of film it wanted to be. The first half (which I was more intrigued by) had a sort of creepy sci-fi "Twilight Zone" thing going on. The second half of the film seemed to be sort of a dark comedy with a lot of almost cartoonish violence. Like I said, both parts were entertaining, but I left the theatre feeling like the two threads never really came together satisfactorily, for me at least.

I saw this today and I think it was by far one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. I don't know why it was classified as a "horror" film it wasn't scary at all.

It's meant to satire recent trends in horror, more than be a horror movie.

I went to see it tonight, and I loved it. However, I also like Joss Whedon in general.

That makes a lot more sense. I thought I was missing something about it.

Love it.

I saw it in the theatre completely unspoiled (even though I read a review that actually spoiled the very end, I guess I just forget once it started) and it was really entertaining. I liked the way they took the main "tropes" of horror movies and smushed them together and came out with something so original and funny. I liked that it never took itself too seriously.

Dale & Tucker is another film that is entertain (and entertaining in a dark, horrible way).

I think it must have been over my head because I just thought it was...weird. I mean got that it was satire but I just didn't have an appreciation for it.

If you're a fan of Buffy, Angel, Dollhouse, or Firefly, it's a very Whedonesque, enjoyable film.

If you're not a fan of Joss Whedon stuff, I can see it just being an odd movie.

Hah, that may explain it. Thank you.

I missed it in the theater and listened to multiple people hype it all summer. I feel like it just set it up to disappointing because it could never compare.

I liked it a lot, as did my husband, and we re-watched it as soon as it came out on DVD (don't know whether I liked it enough to own it, though.). But then again, I am obsessed with Joss Whedon (I mean, srsly, my ringtone is the Bad Horse phone call song from Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog), and also husband is obsessed with horror. But I have a friend who was just watching this tonight, solely on my recommendation, and she texted me an hour in, "this is a wired movie..." Not for everyone, I suppose.

I loved this movie. I've probably watched the rampage scene with the monsters a dozen times.

It should probably be noted that I am a Whedon fan though.
