I have been talking with my Hubby about rewatching all of the Duggar episodes in order again since I used to religiously watch and now I watch while doing laundry or helping kids with schoolwork.

Since I no longer homeschool and I really have 2 little kids at home during the day I could put one in during nap time.

I wouldn't start it just week. Just too busy being a holy week and getting ready for Easter and packing (unlike the Duggars we like to pack and leave ON TIME)

MY hubby doesn't think I can do it. That somewhere I will see where it 'all went wrong' and I will stop watching.

I don't know if anyone else would join me by watching a few specials and episodes a week but if so contact me.

I would love to put my thoughts down. Should I write a blog? I have seen some great funny blogs of people rereading the Baby Sitters Club books or watching Full House http://tannertwister.blogspot.com/

I don't mind doing this I just wonder if you all would read it. It might take me all summer I do have a life haha but I think it might be somewhat fun. What are your thoughts?

I tried to do this over Christmas during my 6 week holiday. I had watched them in a random order as I found them on youtube but decided it was time to watch them in order and try and get some continuity. I made it as far as the end of the 4th season before I burnt out.

Good luck.

I don't know if I could, since I do not have their DVDS or any subscriptions to anything but netflix, and I don't know if they have 19 kids and counting. If they do, I will take you up on that challenge, as long as all of the shows are subtitled.... :)

I couldn't do it. I can't even get through one episode without being bored and highly irritated. I have stopped watching TLC all together at the news of the Bates having a show.

It would be funny to see how many times they spout off a specific "helpful tip" or "interesting fact." LOL

Good luck to you! I'd love to read it if you do blog it.

Wait until your husband is home for the kids so you can turn it into a drinking game. Otherwise your brain will atrophy from boredom when you watch them pack for a trip for the 100th time.

I understand. I had to give up TLC on my husband's last tour because I had no one to shout to about the stupidity.

I'm slowly making my way through the series. Can't watch too much at once or else I get too mad. As far as I can tell, all but the most recent episodes are on youtube.

Couldn't do it with the Duggars, but my nap time guilty pleasure was watching re-run episodes of Dallas.

Is this offical news? I thought the Bates were only getting a special

The Bates family had it on their blog that the regular season begins in June (I think it's June).

Dang it were the Duggars not enough?

Apparently not. The Duggar ratings are going down so TLC must have thought same song different voices would perk things up enough to not have to actually think of a new concept.

I might make it through the Duggar specials again and maybe part of the first season but I think that's all I could take.

This reminds me of a blog that I've read a bit of called "Battlefield Spork" http://battlefieldspork.blogspot.com/ in which the author tears apart L. Ron Hubbard's "Battlefield Earth." (Scientology is my other mind-control cult fascination). I doubt I could make it through that book, either, but having someone sacrifice their sanity for the humor of it it commendable.

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.
