Duggars at Calvery Bible Church in Neenah WI (with pictures)

My great Aunt Sandy and her daughter Joyce went to see the Duggars today. She sent me some pictures and some highlights. I hope you enjoy.

 

* Duggars arrived at about 1:45pm (wow on time) one girl crying she was so happy another saying she never met a famous person before

*One girl got excited that Josh waved from the bus

* Bus stopped and what looked like Mormon missionaries got out of bus and handed everyone the 2010 picture of the family. Who the guys were who knows...

*One lady kept commenting that she was shocked the church was only 1/3 full. Why wasn't it packed? She wondered

* Jim Bob said that Michelle was home with sick 'little ones' and the other kids were working on projects or had projects she couldn't remember.

* No little Duggars were along.

*Anna and Josh stayed on the bus

* Anna came out later to sign autographs- My aunt took 2 pictures and said she looks pregnant

*There was a guy named Nathan with them and a woman named Rebecca

*Rebecca comes for a single parent family and was ATI like the Duggars growing up (was she on the show)

*Rebecca did a dramatized version of the Sermon on the Mount. My great Aunt said many people looked bored it took like 20+ minutes. She said she was sorry everyone missed it!

*The Duggars sang songs most people don't know haha and a few classics like I've Been Redeemed and May the Lord, Mighty God bless and keep you forever

*Jinger played the piano

*They played their violins and now know Seek Ye First

*Jim Bob gave his Testimony, things I never knew- did you all know that Michelle's parents were resistant to Jim Bob marrying Michelle and later he said they did not understand why they had so many children. They were concerned

*Jim Bob said he loved his dad but he was not a good spiritual leader and said when he was growing up his house was foreclosed on (I personally think Jim Bob was a jerk here because his dad died 3 years ago and they did not treat him very well in his last days)

*Jim Bob said his mom is a woman of faith

*The Duggars gave Rebecca a harp (funny TLC gave them a piano remember - times are changing

*He talked about how to listen to the Lord and how he lost the race for senate because God had hardened the voter’s hearts

*However, the picture of Jim Bob and the Family got in the New York Times and then Parent magazine saw it and put an article in their magazine. Discovery Health saw the article and well the rest is history...

 

 

*People asked questions-

 

How are you doing after the loss of #20? Jim Bob said that showing their grief and sorrow on TV has encouraged others and actually it is 21 children. Yep, my great Aunt said they how have 21 kids. They need to keep their stories straight.

 

To the girls- How is the book coming along? Jill answered that had phone conference with ghost writer. Since they have been on the road they have not been meeting the deadlines.

 

Would you allow your children to marry young like you and Michelle did? Depends on the child.

 

*He mentioned Jim Sammons and Collage Plus.

 

*The Duggars watch TV sometimes- Their own show, sports sometimes, presidential speeches and if there are national disasters.

 

*Internet is a worse evil than TV. The Duggars make it so the kids can only visit 25 sites and can't Google search.

 

*They don't allow sibling rivalry or whining. They train their children constantly

 

*Jim Bob never had an anger problem until he had kids. When he gets angry the kids touch his on the arm and say "Daddy, you’re getting angry" and he stops- He recommends Gothards Anger management.

 

*He kept saying there were links and resources on the website.

 

*Michelle Chooses to speak with a soft voice

 

*Jill is working with a Spanish Midwife so her Spanish is improving

 

*They gave the homeschool thing again.

*Michelle had a good time in public school

*Jim Bob said 4 boys got expelled at the Christian school he went to because the kids kicked out of public school went the Christian school.

*He liked how the children he met that were homeschooled were mature and Godly

*Jana talked about Journey to the Heart- she is going again

*Journey of the Heart lets you get rid of baggage and seek the Lord more

 

Okay and the best for last- a friend of the Duggars went through College Plus and got a 4 year degree in 6 months!!! WOW!

Oh gosh she had a lot of help haha. She did comment some people looked at her funny for taking notes. Her daughter is a big help also. Took most of the pictures. She actually wasn't going to until she sat down and said "this might need to be written down because I can't remember it all at my age" haha. She did do a good job. I told her now Hubby and I don't have to drag the kids to see the Duggars haha

Oh Anna is totally pregnant.

I'm surprised a pic like this taken by a random member of the public hasn't emerged earlier. Maybe that's why she stayed on the bus and they didn't expect pics at an impromptu autograph session?

A poster at TWOP was also there and noted that Jana is actually going to work for Journey to the Heart, like Priscilla Keller. She will be staying at Gothard HQ between Journeys.

The poster asked Jinger about getting quiet time alone and Jinger gave her a total brush-off about finding ways to serve others. Opined that it's too late to free her.

Joy was kept away from the crowd and played a piano.

Thought Smuggar and Anna looked smaller than they appear in pics. Said Anna was a size 6, not sure if she was pg., said if she was probably still 1st trimester.

The poster personally asked Boob (they mingled with the crowd, with the exception of Joy noted above) why they are supporting a Catholic and Boob gives some non-answer. Poster repeats question, Boob responds with "He's an evangelical Catholic." Opines that the inner sleazy politician/used car salesman guy is not an act; he's that Ducmuch of a douche IRL.

eta: Interesting that Boob used almost the exact same language regarding his father that Mullet used on the radio show yesterday. Way to respect your dead father, you asshole. It appears everything he said about his dad on the show was a big, fat lie to make their relationship look better. I was pissed enough with Mullet's spiel yesterday, but deifying Mary seems to be the new Duggar meme, which I can't believe they spew in front of the younger kids. He may have been a shitty guy, but he's still their grandfather and they seemed to love him very much.

Fuck them both.

I totally missed them! We went past this church today, totally unaware that the Duggars were there. I have not seen anything on our local news that mentioned the "famou" Duggar family being in the area.

In all seriousness, I wonder if any of the kids have started to question why they can't fact-check anything that's being fed to them. I know it's been pounded into their heads that they can't use the internet because porn!!!!! but how can they not feel the need to know what the world is saying about them and whether the "facts" they're parroting (like the stuff they say about evolution, birth control and dancing making you horny) are actually founded?

I'm going to toss out a different theory, tell me what you guys think of it.

Maybe LJ was an ass. Our parent's do contribute to our parenting styles, so maybe Jim Bob married his mother in Michelle and is acting out his father's parenting. Perhaps they lost the house due to financial mismanagement and that is why he is so cheap, ect. My point is, both Jim Bob and Michelle clearly have psychological issues and for Jim Bob his childhood could have contributed.

I am a Christian and I certainly judge my father to be an ass, because he is an ass. I don't think that makes me a bad person. However, I don't talk about it on a campaign stop or have a talking tour.

I wonder why Joy always looks so messy (I don't know if that is the right word) compared to the older sisters. I guess I just don't like her sense of style for a 14 year old.

Maybe Jana sees this as her only way to leave or I can hope. Most likely they are sending her away because she's being difficult about not wanting to be on the show.

I don't think Joy looks messy. I think she looks as put together as one can for getting ready on a bus. I don't know how the older girls always have the hair so nice while staying on a bus.
