Mrs. Limbaugh #4 Is Unhappy!

I know this is from the Inquirer, But I had to post it!

http://www.nationalenquirer.com/celebri ... iage-rocks

Quote
“Kathryn is fit to be tied,†said a pal. “She feels as if she’s being tarred and feathered with the same brush that people are using on her husband. She really let him have it.

“She said she’s become a social pariah because of his hot-headed, heedless comments and warned him in no uncertain terms that he’d better keep his trap shut and stop using words like ‘slut’ for any woman!â€

So....divorced and back on Hillbilly Heroin by the end of the summer? I'd feel sad for anybody else, but not Rush.

One would think after 3 divorces there is probably a good reason not to marry someone. Yes, I know people can have a run of bad luck, but this is Rush we're talking about. Everyone knows what kind of person he is.

My grandmother used to love the Enquirer. For those who don't know, it is a tabloid magazine which often stretches the facts a bit. No one considers it a reliable source of news. However, it is interesting that the newspaper is reporting on Limbaugh at all. They usually stick to celebrities and I find it even more interesting that they have a negative report about him. That must mean that public interest and dislike of him must be high enough for the editors to feel that he is fair game.

During his bizarre on-air tirade, Limbaugh even suggested that Fluke make sex tapes that could be watched online.

I quoted the paper because I thought it was funny that even the Enquirer thinks that Rush is crazy

Not really surprised. And I figure sooner or later, wife no. 4 would be unhappy with him over something. Just look who she married.

He's rich?

It is possible for a younger person to fall in love with someone much older than they are so I am not going to automatically say his money is the appeal. However, an aging, persecription addicted, viagra needing, misogynist without money would probably not have the same appeal for most attractive, younger women.

Yep. Wasn't thinking about the age thing at all. Just this, with the only "attractive" thing about him being that he was rich.

It is curious, the frequency with which the tabs scoop the legit media, on stories like this. Elvis is not, however, still alive.

Ummm...did Mrs. #4 ever listen to Rush's show before she married his loathesome self? Or seriously ponder why, exactly, he'd already gone through wives #1-3?

How many signs did she need that she was marrying a misogynist shitbag before finally she got it?

BRB, looking for that tiny violin...

The Enquirer is willing to pay for stories, so they get to scoop the "legit media." It's still a trashy rag, but the days of posting made-up scandals came to an end after they were successfully sued by a couple of celebrities for libel. I remember when Carol Burnett won a major suit against them for running a cover story about her being a drunk, and someone else (can't remember who) won a similar suit at about the same time. So while they're still bottom-feeders, they do verify stories before running them.

Somewhere I read that, in person, Rush is quite charming.

Most narcissists are--and Rush is a textbook case--but it's completely superficial and opportunistic. It's not about liking or respecting other people; it's about winning them over so they can be used.

There are a lot of people who think my dad is a charming, big-hearted, generous guy because they haven't been in a position to witness how cruel, manipulative, contemptuous, and full of rage he really is. There's a public persona shown to people he deems useful or wants their approval, and a private persona in which he lets all the ugliness out to people who don't matter--including his kids, and, in time, his current fiance (because once he marries her he'll get bored with her).

No matter how charming Rush may seem, there's incredible ugliness underneath it. Until now, his show has given him one socially-acceptable way of expressing it. But I cannot imagine he's such a great guy in private, around people he doesn't feel the need to impress.

A couple of years ago Rush put his NY apt. up for sale. HuffPo posted the real estate listing and Oh. My. God. Rush rails against those he considers effete and elitist, yet his apt. could be considered the epitome of effete and elitist: Ormolu as far as the eye could see, murals, cherubs, you name it, he had it. After seeing that apt. I came to believe that Rush is a closet case of the first order.

Apparently it's become a lot more reliable in the last few years but apparently its old reputation precedes it :P It did break the whole thing about Edwards' love child and all that :p

And seriously why did she marry him in the first place? It better have been for his money because he certainly doesn't have any good looks OR personality.

She can walk away if she wants, and probably with a nice lump of cash, so I don't feel bad for her.

I guarantee he has an iron clad prenup.

He's rich?

Yeah, but I have a hard time believing the gold digger types would marry him after all the crap he has said throughout the years, especially about women.

Are we really still using the phrase "tarred and feathered"?

I always thought it was a thing people did to humiliate others. Then I saw a scene in Carnivàle in which a character is tarred and feathered. Oh. That's what that means.
