Wow, slut-shaming much? How about MEN keep it in their pants? Women don't get pregnant by themselves. Men should keep it in their pants and this wouldn't be an issue. Throw out the Viagra too, since Viagra isn't necessary. Men can have fulfilling lives without sex. Since you're so "pro-life", are you going to support the mother after she delivers the baby? Are you going to pay for diapers, formula? What about Pre-natal care? If you're so "pro-life" you should also support the mother and child AFTER it's born. But you proabably won't since you're a slut shaming zealot. Just sayin'

I hate to admit this but this lady sounds exactly like my dad. I told him about the required ultrasounds for Abortion in VA and He said in more words than none "Well It's not a bad thing, because the woman should have thought about that before opening her legs. It's not right to go out and have sex with every tom dick and harry and when she gets pregnant, just decide to abort because she doesn't want a child." I was honestly floored. :shock:

When I come across such intensely hateful comments, I always get the impression this person is not all that happy with her life, or she wouldn't put so much effort in putting down others and their - different - choices. (Even if, in that case, she hasn't got an inkling about the person's choices).

Possibly she's sitting in a draughty shack with ten kids from a husband who's not all that loving and who can't support them properly. So she has to convince herself that her choices, even though they've made her miserable, are superior to those of others.

Apart from that, it's standard brainwashed fundie stuff:

- sex outside of marriage is slutty and will certainly end in poverty, dozens of abortions and food stamps.

I just went and looked this woman up on FB. She's got herself locked down so you can't post on her wall or even see her wall. But there's a lovely photo of (presumeably) her and her teenaged kids on her profile. Sometimes it's helpful for me to see what people look like in order to add some context to their words. That's exactly what I've been wondering too. It's always women they say need to close their legs and keep their pants on, but if all women stop having sex then that means men have to keep it in their pants as well and won't be getting any "action" either. I've found the irony funny. Women don't get pregnant on their own, after all. I still wonder if part of the whole patriarchy and women hatred is more to push men up because they are envious that they can't provide life to the world, only the seed to start it. Men can only put the seed in the pot, but women provide everything to grow it. Women have been associated as Earth and life for thousands of years and some cultures have worshipped women because of their life-giving status.

Apparently, this was the initial push against abortion. But as society shifted, the anti-abortion crowd had to shift too. It went from "Well, that's what you get for having sex" to "think of the babies!". Now some people genuinely believe that abortion is wrong because a fetus is a fully realized person. Women get to have fun doing feminine things like sewing, cooking, child rearing... sex isn't supposed to be fun for women, it's something good women do to keep their headship happy and keep the blessings coming, not for their own enjoyment. If fundie women were meant to enjoy sex, they wouldn't be expected to go from first kiss to first fuck in a matter of hours.

Any good Christian can tell you there are "good girls" and "bad girls". Men always find the bad girls, and pass the info on to their buddies. One bad girl can satisfy many Christian men, and then they go home to their dutiful wives and everyone lives happily ever after.
