*whispers* Although I don't think any of these right wing nuts know much about Regan. Compared to them he was somewhat liberal. After his first year, he raised taxes and he didn't cut medicare to my knowledge although he spoke against 'socialized' medicine.

Yeah, one of my friends sent me the link and (as he predicted) got a rant from me about how "God did NOT give us the Bill of Rights, it was a compromise to get states to ratify the Constitution." I made it to the bridge (about 1:30 in) before I said I'd had enough. It would be funny if there wasn't a possibility that Santorum could become president. *shudder*

Oh, those Reagan years, when mortgage rates got as high as 15%. I know--the construction loan on my house in 1985 was 13%. Eventually, during those Big Bad Clinton years, we got it down to 7%.

Some fiscal conservatives drive me batty: they don't even acknowledge how well the average joe did financially during the Clinton administration, and the fact that the budget was balanced. To anyone who's ever called Clinton a liberal, I say, "I've got two words for you: NAFTA and DOMA."

Santorum's giving a speech on how great he is, even though Romney got the majority vote in Illinois. As the cameras were focusing on him when he was getting ready to talk, that song, that stupid song was actually playing. Ugh.
