I think the pictures of the two of them look fairly nice. Though I don't understand the "thumbs up" thing and fundies. It isn't necessarily bad in the wedding photos (as I've seen lots of wedding photos like that), but I swear in most fundie blogs there is always pictures of kids/ adults flashing the thumbs up as if to say, "I hate my life and I can't show any excitement on my face, but my thumb is up to show that I'm having a fabulous time."

I'm going to be cynical and say that so many Duggars were in the wedding so that TLC would film it and foot some of the bill.

Some of those pictures are really nice, but I think some are awful - like the pic of the bridesmaids' feet. And of course one of the bridesmaids wore flip flops! How tacky.

Yeah that's what I thought. Also, having a ridiculous number of attendants seems to be a common theme for fundie weddings so maybe they just thought the more people they have the better?

My impression of the thumbs up was that it was an appraisal of the quality of the kiss... which squicked me out a bit. Like, "yep, she was worth it!" Just another way to treat women as objects...

Mrs. Keller's glasses are always an eyesore. Surely, they could get her some glasses from this past decade?

Anna got bump.

I suspected so at the time b/c her dress didn't fall all the way to the ground as did the other bridesmaids, but these closeups really give away her condition. She's virtually shapeless from some angles; no waist to speak of, and under that waist detailing with the pin, she's either got quite a gut or, unlike the other bridesmaids, even the ones who are a little heavier, her stomach looks...different.

I think so, and the mentality that they have to do everything as a family and everyone has to participate.

I don't think she looks much like Anna actually. She has a different face and eye shape and a slightly warmer skin tone than Anna, but that's just me. At least David isn't so damn Smug. That's nice.

OT but it's been bugging me since the wedding vid. In the video there was this man who kept yelling out what sounded like 'Amen in here' or 'Amen' followed by something I couldn't make out. He sounded like a drunk heckler. What was the deal?

I wondered that but I think the cane belongs to the man in the scooter, and the groom is just being funny. If he needed a cane he couldn't hold Priscilla like he does on the train tracks.

I must admit that these photos are quite beautiful!! Also, they are a confirmation of Anna's pregnancy....Marmalade made a good point...the fact that her dress is significantly shorter than the others is proof that there is a growing bump underneath...there's no way that I would think they would heam that dress to be that short..heels or not

Puts the "fun" in fundies, I suppose. What else do they have aside from nightly missionary sex (ie. "sweet fellowship") and gorging themselves until they burst (looking at your bloated face in those pics, Smugs).

After looking at those pictures, I noticed just how vastly different David and Adam's wedding were. David and Priscilla's wedding was definitely royal fundie lavish wedding with all the fundie glitz and glamour. If you watched Adam and Valerie's, their wedding seemed more laid back and simple, without the glitz and glamour. I feel like because the Duggars were involved in David and Priscilla's, TLC was able to pay some of the bill, explaining the "over the top", fundie style, wedding.

With that being said, David seems like he's an older version of Smuggar. He definitely does show off that "Look at me, I can kiss and make out with my wife whenever I want" attitude towards others. With the video of him making out with Priscilla at his own brother's wedding to the picture of him giving the thumbs up while kissing her, he just seems so Smuggary and I despise that. Next thing you know, he's going to gain a bunch of weight in a year, preach about being conservative, brag about how courtships works, "work" so hard at his job, while lazying around at home and bossing his beloved wife around since he's the "headship" while Priscilla stands there with that dumb submissive smile on her face.

Slightly O/T, and it's probably been addressed before but seeing these pictures just made me wonder afresh, how sad must it be to finally kiss the man you've just married and find that you are totally turned off by him?
