Mr. Robertson has now apparently fully embraced the idea of legalizing marijuana, arguing that it is a way to bring down soaring rates of incarceration and reduce the social and financial costs.

and give Mr. Robertson a more tolerant audience for his rhetoric. He's finally figured out that in order to support most of Robertson's positions, you must be high. Or he realized that outraged stoners aren't likely to mobilize and do something with their outrage.
