Ann Coulter:You Can Pray the Gay Away

She is hateful but we all knew that

Some highlights from the interview:

Gays should shut up. She wants Don't Ask, Don't Tell in life

Only heterosexual men should be able to serve in the military. No women.

It would be weird to pray the straight away

Liberals think that all sorts of perversions are normal

We are lucky that Germany doesn't start arming again

I'd like to see Ann Coulter shut the eff up.

I have considered Ann Coulter a stupid c*nt ever since she stated that the 9/11 widows who started the 9/11 Commission (which forced Bush to investigate the whole thing) were all in bad marriages to begin with and now they have millions of dollars in settlements and donations. (these were NJ gals - don't mess with us) Coulter has no discernable talent and makes these statements to keep herself in the limelight and on Faux News.

This bitch just says the most inflammatory things to get air time and notoriety.

Ann Coulter? don't you mean Mann Coulter? or Arthur Coltrane?

I could swear 'she' has an Adam's apple.

I've been trying to pray Ann Coulter away for years, and much like trying to pray the gay away, it just doesn't work. Perhaps I should try wishing her into a minefield cornfiled.

Where is the kid from "Twilight Zone" when you need him?

Why do people keep giving her airtime?

If you think you can pray away being gay, why would it be weird to pray to be gay? C'mon, Ann, prove it's a choice. Hook up with some willing gal*. ;)

*who will probably require that you not speak, at all, ever.

Ooo, better yet, Ann and Henry Rollins on Real Time. That would be epic. And maybe, just maybe, Rollins could finally convince her to shut her yap.

I can't put it into words very well, but your comment bothers me more than it probably should. To sit there and insinuate Ann Coulter is a man, and that makes her evil... bothers me. Not from a man perspective, more from the perspective of Trans rights. to put she in quotes to me screams transphobia... I know we are talking about Coulter... and I hate her just as much as the next person, but to insinuate she is trans and thus that makes her evil... really bothers me.

(I apologize if this seems disjointed... I've had a rough morning... but either way, this response bothers me a lot... that's basically what I'm saying.)

I'm convinced she only said this because "straight" does not rhyme with "pray". It fits perfectly with neo-con logic fail.

Sorry, I just always thought it was meant to say how bitter and mean-spirited she is, which often makes her ugly inside as well as outside.

I could say she has a long neck.

Yeah, there is that. And comparing Ann to a man has never sat well with me either. However, she sort of invites these insults by hyping a a very narrow definition of femininity, a definition she does not meet by her own standards. Still, it doesn't mean we shouldn't find other ways of insulting her. I mean, she makes it so easy on so many fronts.

She's just a female shock jock, same as Rush Limbaugh but in a skirt (usually a very short, black one. I mean, who gets interviewed for The Today Show in a black cocktail dress? Srsly!)

She and Lawrence McDonnell had a freeform debate at George Washington University, and all she really does in those situations is help the liberal cause. One republican young man left the debate and twittered, "I should really be on the other side" (I later saw him interviewed) because of the disgusting and stupid ideas she put forth (like no one under the age of 26 should be allowed to vote - just too stupid, I guess - this was really popular in front of a college audience).

So I say, keep on talking, Ann. You're one of the most shallow, cynical shills for the GOP and every time you open your offensive mouth, you probably help President Obama.

Ann rhymes with Man. It's a pretty simple joke.

FWIW, my brother is a gay drag queen. He calls her "Mann" as well, more than I do, since her remarks are even more offensive to him than me.

It wasn't calling her Mann that I was feeling weirded on.. IT's insinuating that an adam's apple was seen and thus she's a man who dresses like a women and evil... I admit my own mind isn't working great today, but that's how I read it. (And to state, drag queens are not transgendered/transsexual.)

Her remarks are VERY offensive to me, as a gay guy, I understand that. But there are better ways to make your point that insinuating she's not really a woman and all that bullshit.

(And because I feel a bit snarky.. Ann also rhymes with Can, Tan, Fan.. and on and on.. Just because it rhymes doesn't make it the best joke or appropriate to call someone.)

Not defending it, but the reality is that Ann Coulter is really a man is an longstanding, ongoing joke among those who disdain her. If it bugs you, you should probably avoid reading or watching anything that criticizes her. Including Margeret and Helen's stuff.

Yup. And the media falls for it every time.

Just because it's widely used doesn't make it okay in my opinion.

Moving on from there, I think Ann Coulter is a useless human who states as many inflammitory positions as she can in order to keep her name in the media. She never seems, in interviews, to want to explain her opinion out, she merely wants to state it and take the publicity that she gets. Another person people should just stop giving media coverage.

Can I pray the Man Coulter away?

Damn, didn't think so. Oh well. I wish she would a) develop laryngitis and not be able to talk and b) develop carpal tunnel or tennis elbow and not be able to write.

I never said it was okay. At all.

Oh I know, I wasn't stating that. I was making my point that just because it's widely used doesn't make it okay, that's all. In no way was I saying that you, or anyone on here for that matter, said it was okay.

Oh brother, I hate this woman. She's a female Brush Lintball.

There used to be a very active chat for the (left wing) Stephanie Miller show. When Ann Coulter's name was mentioned on the show, Man Coulter jokes would be made. Then a user explained that she was transgender and all this Man Coulter stuff was bothering her. We all knew that being transgender she had enough to deal with, so everyone stopped making Man Coulter jokes. One day a transgendered person called the show and explained to the host how the transgendered liberals don't want Coulter associated with them, and there haven't been Man Coulter jokes in a long time.

This is how we learn. Not everyone knows what offends others, but communicating the problem can teach the offender not to do it again. Personally, reading another thread has taught me not to use "girl" as a general term for women (not that I frequently did, but now I make it a point to refer to the elder female Duggars as gals or ladies, because people reading might be offended using girl to describe a 20 something woman). FJ used its powers for good instead of snark and I learned something, others can learn that Man Coulter might be funny to you, but painful to the transgendered person reading.

I think it would be more effective to pray the Ann Coulter away.

The more she talks, the more I think she is either an elaborate troll or a very dedicated performance artist.

I hate these winds. They are absolutely HOWLING here in SoCal. Not sure I'll be able to sleep tonight because I'm so afraid we'll get sudden evacuation orders the way we did with the Woolsey fire in 2018. There's no way of knowing when and where a fire might crop up and once it does, there's no containing it in these winds. I'm praying for the safety of our brave firefighters. My heart is with everyone in the Pacific Palisades and in Eaton Canyon near Pasadena.

The world doesn't need more people. If people want to have children, that's fine, but there is no reason we have to keep having more people.

      Winter snack: crispy chickpeas
Preheat oven to 400 F. Drain and rinse a can of chickpeas, then toss in olive oil and whatever spices you like. I use fried chili crisp. Cook for 15 minutes, stir, another 15 minutes, stir, repeat until they're crispy and delicious. Good as a snack, on salads, etc.
I am sharing my super secret chili crisp source just because I love you guys:

Happy New Year, all you amazing people! I just saw a (possibly joking) tradition online called Yule Boasting.

      My quick text version:
i will begin 2025 by distilling a barrel full of tequila from the agave plants in my yard, assisted by george clooney, who admires me greatly and will be sad and heartbroken when my plan moves ahead without further human assistance.
sky-clad, i will find my familiar, a malevolently clever curve-billed thrasher named Willie Wildman. together we will roam my neighborhood, putting together an animal army consisting of a coyote pack, a squadron of javelinas, and my local great horned owl pair, perseverance and ingenuity.
we will all consume mass quantities of tequila, paint our faces blue, and set out on yucca broomsticks to reach our nation's capitol.
we will swoop down on DC, screaming and howling, occupying first the capitol and then the white house, where we will become co-presidents and replace congress with the yacht-sinking orcas of the mediterranean. AND EVERYONE WILL FUCKING REJOICE.

It's crazy to think that it has already been 25 years since we were worried about what would happen when the calendars would switch over to Y2K.
