TLC's "19 Kids and Counting"

Michelle Duggar

Michelle Duggar is an Arkansas woman who has 19 kids. She and her family are the stars of '19 Kids and Counting' (previously '17 Kids and Counting' and '18 Kids and Counting') There are two sets of twins in the bunch, and her most recent baby Josie was born premature in December 2009.

The patriarch and matriarch of this large-and still growing-group are former high school sweethearts, Jim Bob and Michelle. With values rooted in their strong personal faith, Jim Bob and Michelle firmly believe that every child is a gift to be cherished. After more than 20 years of marriage, the couple has received 18 gifts-ten boys and eight girls. With only two sets of twins among the 18 children, Michelle has been pregnant for 12 years of her life. Another vital piece of Duggar trivia is that each child's name begins with a "J"-Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jeremiah, Jedidiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, and baby Jordyn-Grace.

"19 Kids and Counting" airs on TLC Tuesday's at 9/8C

Awesome. They forgot Josie... and J'caleb and Jubilee...

Heh, they're too lazy to update their own press releases.

Think a man could get on the air? Maybe if I ask questions about how to please my 'wife'?

You could ask about how to get your wife to adhere to that handout!

Oh, totally! Or how to seem interested while your 'wife' blathers on about 'her' day.

Maybe I'll ask if it's ethically OK to replace my wife's BC pills with tic tacs? In Michelle's world, it is, since it prevents 'abortion'. :)

What someone needs to do is come up with an Duggar approved question (I'm guessing they will pre-approve guest's questions) and then when you get live ask about forgetting J'Caleb in the letter to Jubilee and about redoing it for their website.

If I do call, that's exactly what I'd do. There's a slight chance it might get though.

I'd ask something like how to get my young children to do their chores (so they can hock chorepacks). Then on the air I's ask why JD is a repo man, or while all the adult kids at home have nothing going on, or the re-reorded Jubille letter.

Even better, ask a legitimate question about trying to save money, and say you drove by the carlot and saw easy financing, and are wondering if it's a good idea to buy a used car via debt?

The only problem I have with that is the person doing the pre-approving might get in serious trouble for it...

Nah, the Duggars know that we're here - hell - we're discussing it openly on a site we know they troll. If they take open questions then its game on.

I can't call either, she is on right when I am picking my daughter up from school. I hope somebody is at least able to listen.

On the left side of the page linked in the first post, there's a podcast archive of shows. It looks like we'll all get to mercilessly dissect Michelle's scripted thoughts!

I also LOL'd then i saw the previous guests from Feb. 16....a psychic and a numerologist! Totally the people Michelle would hang around with. Maybe they'll do a segment on pagan lesbian single mom prostitutes before Michelle comes on that she'll have to sit through.

I hope someone calls in! What question do you think they should ask?

1. you would be screen so you would have to have a fake question to get past the call screeners.

2. a question Michelle couldn't wiggle out of and shurg and just spill the same old rhetoric.

I'll try to remember to call in, and if anyone else does, you should ask her what if the last 2 pregnancies are signs from God that she should stop breeding.

I so wish someone could nail her on spanking.

ETA: Like ask, Do you spank and if yes, what is the youngest age at which you have spanked one of your children. I'm sure she would try and wiggle out of answering, but listening to her squirm her way out of giving an answer would be amusing.

I think you would just have to ask Have you ever spanked your children? and keep re-asking the same straighforward question? I can just hear her saying, "we like to praise more then punish" or "We use a variety of techniques for discipline (like those crazy games to listen to your parents)".

I also think it is easier for them to put Michelle on the radio because she can always say "Jimbob knows more about that" and dodge questions. I would love to get a straight answer about if they took any welfare, state aid, hospital aid to pay for Josie but I have a feeling she would say her job was taking care of Josie and JB took care of the bills.

She just said they are waiting for Michelle to call. I wonder if she forgot. That would be so funny. And pathetic.

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.
