Ryan Fattman, Rape And Illegal Immigrants

Rep Ryan Fattman supports an immigration policy that police say could harm their relationship with immigrants.

Mr. Fattman dismissed concerns of some law enforcement officials — cited by the governor — who said using local police to enforce immigration laws could discourage reporting of crime by victims who are illegal immigrants.

Asked if he would be concerned that a woman without legal immigration status was raped and beaten as she walked down the street might be afraid to report the crime to police, Mr. Fattman said he was not worried about those implications.

“My thought is that if someone is here illegally, they should be afraid to come forward,†Mr. Fattman said. “If you do it the right way, you don’t have to be concerned about these things,†he said referring to obtaining legal immigration status

The man wants rape victims to be terrified to come forward and seek help. I would imagine that rapists would target immigrant women because they know they won't be able to report the violence.

Unreported rapes could lead to more violence against women. Rapists who get away with their crime will probably continue to attack women. One woman coming forward to report a rape might save another woman from being raped.

Yes, they do. After the whole birth control hearings, that idiot who wanted to pass that bill to allow any employer anywhere to deny coverage for anything they disagree with, and the personhood bill which basically allowed government sanctioned rape of women, it's quite obvious that they all hate women. They want us to be second class citizens like we were for much of history. Just wait. It won't be long before they're trying to pass bills that strip us of our right to vote and our ability to go to college and have careers. While the rest of the world (including third world countries) is marching toward the 21st century, these morons want to drag us back to the 19th. Apparently, they aren't to keen on the U.S. keeping hold of our superpower status. They're even trying to prohibit scientific advancement. I'm seriously considering moving to Canada or Australia.
