Jim Boob and political office

If the Boob runs for political office, what will it be? It seems doubtful that he would run for the US House of Representatives, since his district is already represented by a Republican who was elected in 2010. US senator is too far a reach.

i can still see Boob running for a House seat, despite having a Republican already there. He is so arrogant that he probably thinks he will win in a landslide.

Plus, he is banking on Santorum winning the presidency, so Santorum will back him (supposedly) in his run for political office.

I think that having been on tv would actually hurt him more than help him. Every screencap of questionable behaviour/beliefs ("chicken pox saves you from shingles, kids!") would be fair game for his opponent. I can only imagine the attack ads...

I know it would be a step down for Jimbob, but he needs to runs for some sort of local office, like city council. If Michelle & Jimbob feel so strongly about what type of businesses should be in their community and zoning laws then they need to stop whining and run for whatever local office makes these decisions. I would actually love to see Michelle run but we know that will never happen.

It wouldn't be a step down for him though. He was never the big political player that he thought he was. He never made it past state level (representing his district so the voters were only local) and even then it was only two terms.

I think Jim Bob's only chance would running for a small local office. He wouldn't even win his old seat in the Arkansas State Senate again. One of his big problems will be that there is so much out there about him that will in no way help him. It's just like how the GOP nominees are using their opponents past statements against them. Anyone would win against Jim Bob with all that comes from the show following him around. Jim Bob and the family come off has uneducated hillbillies. How many people really want that to represent them? Jim Bob won the first time around because so little was known about him other than that he was a businessman with a lot of children. Now he just looks like a reality tv star with questionable beliefs. The issues he cares about are abortion and birth control. Even in this crazy political climate, that isnt enough.

Re: the protest to the ABC board by Michelle:

In AR, that request comes before the ABC board which holds its' hearings in Little Rock. So Michelle went there, the office is actually right down the road from the hospital Josie was in.

I know a lot of people thought she traveled back to NW Arkansas to do this, but apparently that is not so.
