Today until 10PM you get a free stack of pancakes and an "opportunity" to donate to children's miracle network. EVERY person through the door gets the free pancakes, so that means Smugs can eat Mack's and Michaels for free.

For those of you following the webstagram thread, you know that Josh just loves his fast food... and was at IHOP last night.

Its unclear whether they are in MI with frothy for today's primary, but I predict some pictures of smugs with 3 servings of fluffy cakes before 10PM

I think that this is a cool idea of IHOPs. My question is would the Duggars donate or would they horde the savings?

I'm sure they'd say something about them treating the heathens or providing abortions so they'd skip out. When I went last year they gave you an envelope with your check and didnt look to see if you put anything in it (you dropped it in a box near the register). It totally lends itself to skipping out, which I can see him doing after he brings 30 people.

I can't see the Duggar family going to the IHOP for free, maybe Josh. I know here the line is about 2 hours long all day(probably a very long wait anywhere if you needed 18-20 seats). Now that Jimbob is not as cheap as he used to be, I think he would rather just go to the kids eat free place and pay for himself. Josh I since he obviously doesn't work much has the time I could see him waiting in line. Now lets see if he goes if we get an a pictured posted of the pancakes or him putting some change in the donation box.

I've had that omelet--it's freaking huge, and IIRC, it also comes with 3 pancakes. When I ate it, I ended up taking half of it and all the pancakes home. I skipped lunch and ate it for dinner. If Smugs can can eat that entire omelet plus pancakes in one sitting, he needs to look into becoming one of those professional eaters that travel around competing in hot dog eating contests and stuff.

What's really sad is that after all the alarming and disgusting fundie crap I've been reading here lately, the thought of the Duggar-horde swarming the gates of IHOP and stuffing every pancake in sight down their ravening pieholes seems kind of cute and endearing. Go for it, Duggars! At least while you're scarfing down flapjacks you won't be beating any kids, suppressing women's rights, or shilling for Santorum.

If Josh had to wait 2 hours for food he'd probably call it "dieting". :P

He wouldnt wait! He'd march right to the front of the line, demand "celebrity" seating and say that IHOP should be glad hes there (and give him free sweet tea) because he blessed them with his lardass presence.

I'm sure the Jeubs will show up for free pancakes.

It will be their only meal of the week.

:laughing-rollingred: They can go to 3 different ones and be stuffed! BTW - theres no line at all at the one by me right now.

If they showed up & didn't leave a donation....that's just plain evil considering a Children's Hospital took care of Josie & an episode featured them taking phone pledges.

I miss iHop. The British do many things well, but American-style pancakes aren't one of them. Whenever I go back to the states, I end up somewhere with a waffle bar.

Sorry to threadjack; please carry on....

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.

I got my stickers today after renewing my vehicle registration.
Just reminded me again how different Minnesota is from Iowa.  Since I didn't register my vehicle in January last year, I got a sticker for the month since all MN plates are made with JAN printed in the lower left hand corner.  They also require people to put stickers on both the front and back plates, as opposed to Iowa that just want's the single sticker on the rear plate.
Oh well, considering how MN is trying to move into the 2020s while Iowa is trying to lurch the fuck back to the 1840s, the type and number of license plate stickers is really a minor thing.
