Resurrecting the Doug Phillips is a Tool Campaign

Because it can't be said enough.

Capt. Dougie has been a bit quite as of late. However he has decided to post about his feelings on the pentagon now allowing women to serve as combat troops (http://www.visionforum.com/news/blogs/d ... 2/02/9950/). The article is a whole bunch of fail, but I'll hit the highlights.

We have reported on this fact numerous times at Vision Forum, previously highlighting a 2004 front page New York Times article which featured a gruesome cover image of a wounded female soldier, blood running down her leg, with three men surrounding her, screaming. Rather callously, the Times titled the article, “A Routine Burst of Chaos Leaves a G.I. Wounded.†In writing the piece, journalist Dexter Filkins in no way keyed in on the fact that the wounded G.I. was a woman — he reported the story as if she had been any other male soldier hit by enemy fire.

The audacity. He should have is journalist cred revoked!!

This will open nearly 14,000 “combat-related positions to female troops, including tank mechanics and intelligence officers on the front lines,†as the Washington Post summarized.

Yes because women clearly are not smart enough to fix tank are be strategists. Those traits are only carried on the almighty Y-chromosome.

Women are to be cherished as the weaker sex

OH! NO! HE! DIDNT!

Men fight when their homes and communities are threatened by wicked regimes and lawless rogues who would despoil their loved ones. When necessary, men carry weapons into battle and give their lives to preserve the liberty and sanctity of those they hold dear.

And by fight he means dress up in snazzy costumes, travel to a far-off places, make films playing soldier and sell it to make money to finance more trips to dress up in snazzy costumes and play soldier.

It is high time that we as a people repent of our barbarism — that we cherish our women as women, and call on our men to act as men.

OK then Capt. Dougie does that mean you are going to take yours sons and precious interns down to the local recruiting station stat and sign up to act like men. **crickets**

On that note I am resurrecting the Doug Phillips is a tool campaign, because really it can't be said enough, and adding my signature line to all my posts.

Women fight too... I'd like to see him face to face with Mama Bear, see him find out what an adult female is capable when she needs to defend her home/children/community!

This was almost verbatim my thought. He won't do service, yet is insulting women who will. For one, many women are physically capable of combat. And for two, there aren't enough men to take care of all the combat, so women are NEEDED.

From his Feb. 13 blog post on contraception:

"A redistribution of death still results in death — however masked — and this socialist policy of murder must be firmly opposed."

Seriously? He thinks taking birth control pills is murder? And what exactly is he suggesting be done in opposition of this fantasy-land totalitarian regime he hates so much?

This guy is SUCH A TOOL.

My SIL, who has served two tours, one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, could snap Dougie in half. And her husband, kids, church family, and the community where she works in LAW ENFORCEMENT think she's a super woman in every way that word applies. They all came together to support her family while she was overseas.

Doug Phillips isn't worth the donkey shit on her combat boots.

Edited because I used my "real name" FB account to comment, and it turns out, the comment didn't disappear. Not that I care that anyone knows my real name, just trying to practice a little interwebz safety. I'll take my dumbass of the day award now.

Doug Phillips is a tool.

So dougie goes on and on about the "music" of the titanic era.

http://vimeo.com/39787523

My favorite is when he asks faith if people sang that high because of old recordings. UM... douchnozzle... you do know that written music doesnt change key when it gets old, right?

Dougie may talk the talk but put him in the same room as an army women and he'd probably be re-thinking this whole article. d

Dougie mentions "America the Beautiful" in that video. Does he know that Katharine Lee Bates, the author of the song, was a lesbian? Katherine Lee Bates had a "Boston marriage" to her sister professor at Wellesley, Katharine Coman. It lasted for 12 years until Coman's death in 1915.

Oh and Doug Phillips is a tool!

Type "Doug Phillips is" in the Google searchbar.

Lol. This is almost as good as the time we Jingerites took over the description of "Vision Forum Intern" in google images.

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.
