I just saw that the Duggars will be on Dateline

Unfortunately, NBC was not nice enough to tell me which day. It's being touted as the first time the family speaks about "THE TRAGEDY". Anyone know what day?

Yeah, that's what I thought I heard as well.

The Today Show? Oh please please please don't let them be announcing another pregnancy!

What makes me cross is Michelle claims to be a stay at home mom, yet with all these TV appearances and speaking commitments she is clearly a working mother. In fact given how often she travels to speak she is away form home more than most working mum's. It is a blatant lie to day she does not work. The whole TLC TV show is paid work.

These interviews burn my butt because they are being paraded around like paragons of virtue and Christian living and not being called out on their harmful cult like lifestyle!

Today Show on Tuesday. Certainly to hype the show. They always do this.

Not sure about Dateline; they're not in tonight's lineup.

Isnt it usually GMA? Did they boot them because they had no "news?"

Well, I'm kinda glad it isn't tomorrow. I'd hate to think the Duggars would ruin my birthday by spewing hate on it. On the other hand, it kinda sucks that it's on Singles Awareness Day.

Why won't they just go away!!! No Bates, No Duggars, No extremist-fundie families pretending not to be....I'd like that for my birthday.

I don't recall them ever being on GMA. All of the Very Special announcements have been on the Today Show, and their magazine of choice is People.

They were only featured on GMA once, when they were doing a series where their correspondents participated in different reality shows for a week.

I'd like that for your bithday too. In fact, I'd like that for every day.

Poka Dot, hope you have a great day.

Edited to be specific.

Ack. I wish the mainstream media would stop legitimizing these people.

Me too. I look forward to my damn Dateline every week and now the damn Duggar's are invading it. Damn it. I refuse to watch. :snooty:

edit to add another damn, because clearly my original post didn't have enough

Pffttt...she's a stay at home mom and I'm a super model  Michelle Duggar wouldn't know how to mother a child if her life depended on it. Birthing she seems to have down pat - mothering not so much.

*sigh* Every sad event to happen is NOT a tragedy. A woman being stabbed to death is a tragedy. 9-11 was a tragedy. A miscarriage is a sad event. I'm saying this as someone who's lost more babies in utero than I can count on one hand.

That is what I was going to say. What happened to the Powell boys is a tragedy, losing your potential 20th in a miscarriage, not so much.

The couple will be treated with kid gloves. No one will ask them hard questions. When it comes to religion and faith, reporters are cowards.

A more interesting episode would be one dedicated to Gothardism. Dateline could explain all the strangeness in that cult. Even if they never mentioned Duggars, viewers would make the connection.
