She looks awful. She was looking pretty good over the summer when they were touring. Now she looks exhausted and her hair looks crunchy. There has to be some meds involved. She was completely outclassed on that panel. Despite what they were saying, all the women had views and opinions they could defend. Michelle's contribution: HAVE KIDS! Marriage is important! ABORTION IS GENOCIDE! yeah... rhetoric... we've heard it, Michelle...

Everytime Michelle gives a speech or is on one of these panels, for which she is paid, isn't that working outside the home? If you are sometimes spending days away from your at one of these events, how is that worse than the Mom who works 9-5 everyday but sees her kids everyday?

I didn't watch, so I don't know much about the other woman on the panel, but I am going to assume that they are probably better educated than Michelle. Even though the other woman are conservative, I assume that they don't speak about headship and transfers of authority. I am sure I am against everything these woman stand for, but I am also sure that they have probably been to college and their children will go as well. How does Michelle not feel out of place with these women? I would be afraid to open my mouth for fear of looking like a fool.

As a last thought, all the women on that panel are so nicely dressed and I assume that the other women at CPAC are as well. Why can't michelle ever dress in something other than what she would wear to the grocery store or a doctor's appointment? I swear the women in that family have no sense of appropriate dress for the situation. You better believe that if I am on a panel for anything I am pulling out my best dress/suit and shoes.

Have her cheeks always been so chipmuncky? I wonder if she's hit the Restalyn bottle?

No, if anything, she looks gaunt and is getting tell-tale age lines around her mouth, eyes and forehead. And WTF was that giant zit-looking thing on the right side of her mouth? It looked like a mole she'd covered up with makeup, but I've seen pictures of her back to her high school days and don't remember that.

She's a bit old for zits, and that thing was monstrous, whatever it was. No way she's hitting botox, restalyne, or any other tightener/filler products. She used to look pretty young for her actual age, but since life started getting too real for her after Josie was born, and now with the "Jubilee" fiasco, she's aged drastically and, as ladypuglover recently noted, shrunken noticeably as well. She looked like the second oldest person on the panel; the "Baba Wawa" moderator on the far right appears to be well into her 50's. I need to look into these women. The writer's name rings a vague bell, but the gal IN PANTS!!!!!111 was nothing short of militant.

She would have made a great Black Panther back in the day.

Try the link to the CPAC site I provided. They have those quotes from speeches throughout the day. I'm sure they have a gallery of the main ballroom speakers somewhere on the site.

eta: Did a bit of digging on the panel and Kate Obenshain (the NIKE! knees lady) is a DIVORCEE!!! Can't walk the walk, eh?

It was more conservative crap: the young AA woman was apparently forced into abortions because of her race, PP is about eugenics, they say they do other stuff besides abortion but they lie, comparing Obama's policies to Reagan's is stupid (because everyone knows that Reagan farted rainbows and rose a unicorn into combat to defend American values!).

My husband is officially terrified of Calista Gingrich now!

I absolutely love it when she is on Real Time with Bill Maher. She can never back up the hateful things she believes and she looks so incredibly stupid.

*Hangs head* I read this as "c cup" - a porn name...

Not sure why; I linked up a Canadian to the live feed. :(

Maybe we're too "socialist" for CPAC. Thanks for trying though :)

Women can get acne into their forties. Stress also can cause acne and considering she just lost a baby, I am sure she is under a lot of stress. And the reason for that stress is most likely because she has not been able to properly grieve.

Heck, I'm 48 and got a zit last week! But this thing on her face looked more like a big, hairy mole covered up with makeup. It was so big as to be a distraction when she turned to her left, right side facing the cameras. Not to mention, she miscarried two months ago and has made plenty of public appearances since. She is quite adept at shoving down the pain; Gothard pretty much requires it to keep the "sweet" facade up at all times.

The ebil feminists at FJ have indoctrinated my husband. Following CPAC on Twitter, he responded to announcement of Michelle Duggar on the panel by tweeting back, "Her husband said it was OK, right?"

he gets cake

The reason for her stress is that Kelly Bates has landed another blessing on the big blue marble and Michelle is not pregnant. Oh and her TV show is swirling down the bowl.

I hate posting behind myself. But I just read Frothy was at CPAC.

When Rick Santorum walked on stage here at CPAC, the annual confab for conservative activists, the massive hall was packed to the gills, and conference attendees lined the halls unable to get in to see the former Pennsylvania senator's speech.

The audience rose to its feet and gave Santorum -- who is resurgent in the Republican presidential primary following his victories in three states on Tuesday -- a rousing greeting. It was an extended standing ovation from the crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference, but not an overwhelming one.

Santorum, who had his wife and five of his seven children stand beside him on stage, wasted no time in drawing contrasts between himself and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, telling the crowd that Republicans should not settle for a candidate whose argument is that the party "need to compromise" and "do what's politically reasonable and go out and push someone forward who can win."

I'm no expert, but looking at Michelle's hair - I wouldn't be surprised to learn that she has a bunch of attached hair supplementing her own real hair. The bangs in front look like her real hair, totally flat and rather lackluster.

As to that big bump on her face, I guess it could be acne. It is certainly distracting.

I think Michelle takes pride in wearing the same shirt and basic black skirt everywhere. I did get a chuckle from the mental image of Michelle throwing open her closet doors and inside we see a row of blue and green shirts all the way to the back.

I think she's been rocking the "bump-it" rather than teasing her own hair into that mess in the back of her head for a couple of years now. Sometimes you can see pins in the back. The bangs look so dry and the rest so greasy; she definitely was not stage-ready for being the top-billed person on that lameass right-wing version of the "View."

Wow. She's not looking good.

Aside from the blouse, what the hell is she wearing on her feet? Please tell me it isn't her crocs!

For the love of God, if she insists on making appearances at these events, why doesn't she invest in a suit? It could have a long frumpy skirt, but at least a blazer would look more professional. And a pair of low-heeled pumps would be good too.

I saw just a minute blurb of her talking about Planned Parenthood. She sounded almost incoherent. Maybe the panel format intimidated her.

I have to be honest...I really don't get it. This woman just had a miscarriage and she is touring all over the place and going to all these events?! Did she even give herself a chance to heal...I mean don't get me wrong I know that tragedy happens and then life goes on but I don't get how she can just have this miscarriage and then do all of this..is that healthy?

I agree that she does not look well...it almost looks like she has given up on herself...I don't believe her smiles anymore..As a therapist myself, I would love to take as a case study and explore her feelings..I see alot of repression there.

I think it's easy to heal when you don't see your children as anything but notches on your belt-for-the-lord.

I suppose it is possible for a woman to love a fetus but not care about her actually born children, but I doubt it with Michelle.
