How do the Duggars teach their kids about sex?

I'm sure they each stumbled upon it every now and again. :naughty:

and

So Juterus doesn't tell the girls that they may have orgasms in their sleep. I wonder what these young women think the first time it happens? Do they have to confess to the MulletMom?

It's entirely possible that they don't. I didn't do either till I'd been having sexual encounters for some time.

Interesting. Curious if you were raised to "stay away" from there.

One of my daughters was like a boy when you changed her diaper. Hand went straight every time.

A few times when my girls have been getting ready to go out they've said, "Mama, will you pray for me, because I know I'm going to be around some boys and I just want to keep my heart right. I want to have the right response and to not be flirtatious or not have any wrong motives but to really keep it on a friendship level."

I'll pray for them, and I think that talking about it helps the girls to understand that these feelings are normal, that this is a part of life -- you're not strange!

 SERIOUSLY!? Way to f*cking put guilt into someones head! Seriously, that's all that's going on here!!! Who the frick asks their Mama to pray for them just because -SHOCK- they are going to be around some boys!?

They've seriously just been guilted into this BS! Who the heck really gets that worried that they might give away a piece of their heart and think that its all their responsibility if they dare even be friendly because it could be construed as flirtatious. Give me a freaking break!!! :x

I also go to the store with the girls and we usually get a makeup bag and fill it with lotion, some pretty perfume,

Oh gosh I hadn't even considered the idea of the Duggar girls wearing drugstore perfume. Who decides which perfume is appropriate? Ma? And which would be worse, walking into a room where all of the Duggar women are wearing different kinds of perfume or a room where all of them are wearing the same perfume. Ugh. The whole thing is making me dizzy-- I can't stand cheap perfume.

How can she even claim she supports the idea that women are not objects, let alone the fact that they don't discuss it until puberty? She doesn't respect women and they are totally objects to her and JB.

ETA And what about discussing this with the girls and how they have the right to decide about things like when to have sex. Oh right because that would mean respecting women.

They are definitely complete objects in fundie life. Just pawns of their own fathers and then husbands!

I would really love to see how Michelle would have gone growing up the way her daughters did, she wouldn't last 10 days!

I doubt they would really understand what happened. They would think it was a god thing. Yes ignorance is that bad.

Nowt to do with boys or being one girls can be fiddlers too. I was a known one my mum said so and my daughter was too.

I'm sure this is old as I read something on it last year and was going WTF at the time.

Your feelings are normal and a part of life. You better pray that they go away.

Sex is dirty, save it for someone you love.

Michelle certainly tap danced around all the craziness. In a big family it's not so unusual to learn a few facts of life from your older siblings. I bet Michelle is so jealous of that fact. She left it the fat that all the girls also get a 'date with daddy' to discuss purity and get their purity ring. Daddy gets to be your sexual surrogate, isn't it great?

Gothad says tampons take your virginity, so of course they're not used.

Who shares intimate, sexual stuff with their parents? I mean, yeah if there's physical problems, or rape, etc you bring it up o them, but geez, JB&M are so unhealthily controlling of their kids it's not funny.

I totally call BS on her claim that her daughters ask her to pray for them to keep sweet/pure when they're out and around boys. I would think they'd be too embarrassed to even mention the subject to her.

THANK YOU!!! It was some priceless 8:52 minutes of my life

First, I can't believe JB actually tells his son "we need to have the talk about birds and bees" in front of Anna! Surely that's really uncomfortable for all those involved? Couldn't he have just called Josh into the corridor or something?

Second, am i the only one that laughed when they were showing Josh and Anna having a hard time figuring how to insert the candle into the candle-holder (7:40)? Maybe I just have a dirty mind though...

When JB said he wanted to give Josh a present, I was like "Oh!!! What could it be? Could it be a....

*A Vibrator

*The Kama Sutra

*Porn video

*Sex Toy?"

No! It was a book and DVD...that had nothing to do about getting it on.

I laughed when it mentioned that Josh and Anna would sometimes disagree with each other. I thought the wife was always supposed to agree with the husband. :/

Well, it seems she's got till bedtime to agree with him. Then Josh can try to get that candle into the candle holder again

I can see Jill and Jana doing that, but Jinger and Jessa not so much.

I'm sure that these girls have had all the "normal" hormones beaten (literally and figuratively) out of them... but the teenage years are when hormones are rampant. God, what stifled human beings they must be.

It didn't happen to me until I was...very early twenties, maybe? Maybe late, late teens. I was so shocked the first time it happened. SO awesome. Doesn't happen all that often, but it's glorious when it does!

Well that just goes to show you that you resisted satan for a long time

BTW I'm gonna have some serious fun with this topic on the 19K&C FB page tonight 8-)

Yep, there's no way the Duggar girls can use tampons. That would require them learning where the opening to their vagina is, and we all know where that leads...

Oddly enough, a lot of non-fundie parents of girls I knew back in school weren't allowed to use tampons either. Something about "not being a virgin" after using tampons. I always thought that mindset was completely ridiculous, putting in/taking out a tampon is probably the least sexual thing i'll ever do to my vagina. there's absolutely no pleasure in it (well, unless you're one of the women who liked "50 Shades of Grey")

I don't have them in my sleep. I get THIS CLOSE...and can't go over the edge. Now that is frustrating! [/TMI]

I can understand not quite figuring out masturbation (though I did no problem) but I can't understand not finding your clitoris. Don't they bathe? Isn't part of bathing washing one's genitals? It's kind of hard to miss during that process, isn't it?

ETA: I don't like tampons much, but I don't use them these days by my own choice. My mom didn't really want me using them the first year or so I had my period, not for virginal reasons, but because she figured I had enough to adjust to as it was. But she never forbade me, and I've used them off and on and will use anything in an emergency.

Human anatomy is not taught at the SDORT. Non of those invisible men and women models for our favorite fundies.

My mom didn't let me at first, though she was using them, because she believed I was "too young" when I was 12. She had no problem buying them for me when I was 14 and going on a school trip. I never understood the reasoning behind this.

Maybe because tampons could break your hymen, thus making virginity questionable (ie, not bleeding during first intercourse).

My Aunt told my cousin nothing goes up their but your husband regarding the subject of tampons came up when said aunt was very heavy into Pentecostalism.

Well no, that's the thing. When I was 14 I was still a virgin, so why 12 was "too young" and 14 was OK is puzzling. And my mother honestly didn't care when later I lived with my boyfriend "in sin" and didn't make any fuss about my virginity or "purity" or that crap.
