Michael birth video

So, I've been trying to find the episode where Michael Duggar is born, but I can't fucking find it anywhere. WTF. This is irritating. Where is it? Where can I find it?

No, I'm not sure why I want to see this.

...she gave birth to him on the toilet???

I must have been living under a rock...

they put that on TV???

I can't believe it either. And they blurred her legs out (you can't see any vag).

"You afraid you're gonna go potty?"

Because g-d forbid Josh be defrauded by Anna having a bowel movement.

The nap enrages me everytime I think about it...closely followed by Jim-Bob's insistance of honking the horn multiple times. (Anna or baby's rest be damned...Granddaddy Boob has arrived!!!! All hail Granddaddy Boob!)

The viewers couldn't see the vag but the whole damn crew could, now I call that modesty

Sounds like something you'd say to a toddler.

No danger there. He was asleep most of the time.

Ass

I can understand being exhausted while your wife is in labor. But its your job to be there to support her, exhausted and all. The very fact that he was able to go off to the bedroom and fall away to dreamland while she suffered is just so... so... GRRRRRR

When I saw folks talking about Josh's nap, I thought it was like 3 hours long or something, not half an hour. But still, when your wife's been in labor for fucking 17 hours... naptime has passed. Douche.

Also, one more reason I couldn't have kids- I can't stand the idea of having 4 people staring at my vag. Yeah, yeah, modesty goes out the window when you're in labor, but seriously, fuck that. And Anna had a whole TV crew there :(

Too right, you are! When my own wife was in labour, she liked to walk between contractions, and would lean on me for support when the contractions came. I'd do my best to apply counterpressure on her lower back as she said it helped with the pain. I walked alongside her for nearly eighteen hours, and was BONE TIRED when she finally clambered onto the delivery bed, but I would never do what Douche Duggar did. What an arse!

I was up at 4am, I finally woke my husband at 6 since I knew we would have to transport. He was there long after the job was done at 8:30pm, and I know he spent that first night in my hospital room napping in a chair and going down the hall to see how the girl was doing.

I couldn't find this video either, kitty, so thank you for starting this thread. And thanks to Jessica for the YouTube link. I'd heard so many mentions of the birth happening over the toilet and I thought perhaps everyone meant "birthing stool". Hmm, nah, it were the turrlit. Notice when Anna talks about enjoying food, family And fellowship at the BBQ joint, Josh can barely wait to add "And food. Good food."

As much as people think she's snooty.... i feel REALLY BAD for her in this video. She's at her most vulnerable, having a baby, obviously I think too she's NOT happy with the cameras there after a certain point (about when she's saying "I can't do this i can't do this" ) .....

Yes, she knows what she signed up for being in a media circus, but I don't think she thought they'd film her squatting on a toilet giving birth. FFS, even J'chelle hasn't given birth on screen like that has she?

This whole family SERIOUSLY needs to get over themselves and FAST.

Even though she's part of the show and "signed up for it", I think they should have let her go into the bathroom in peace. Nobody needed to film that, and the viewing public didn't need to see it. They could have pulled some TV editing magic instead of shoving a camera at her while she popped out a baby on the toilet.

When it comes to the Duggars, if money talks, modesty walks.

But TLC please, be sure to blur Michelle's knees when she water-skis.

Oh definitely. LIke, I am ALL for natural births, and homebirths and such, but...this.... its different. It reminds me of the days of Marie Antoinette where she had to give birth with an audience. :( And not like, "oh here's your medical team".

And the LOOK Michelle shot the camera at one point. I swear she was bitterly thinking "THIS SHOULD BE MEEEE"

Yeah, I felt bad for her too. I don't think she ever expected that things would get that intrusive when she signed up. She struck me as being shocked as well, like "what???"

Actually I think I would have preferred my ex taking a nap when my kids were born. He was such a jerk during labor and birth. When the last one was born, she had the nerve to be born during football playoffs. He had me wait until half-time, so she was born less than 10 minutes after we got to the hospital. Some men can be huge jerks while their children were being born.

I love Jessa in that clip...

It's so obvious that she doesn't want kids. One can read her by her facial expressions easily.

I don't compliment Anna often, but I loved her last "one on one" moments with Mackynzie.

Josh is mega-lazy: "We've been in labour for 17 hrs so we're pretty worn out." No, dum dum, Anna's in labour. Not you. Yup, go take a nap in your wife's face.

Of course they're going to show that birth--it's the money shot! More people will tune in to see the birth than if it wasn't filmed. They throw bitch fits over being modesty due to personal convictions but that all goes out the window when they know they could attract more attention and make more money.

I had to turn off that video about halfway through because it just felt too intrusive/voyeuristic to me. Her facial expressions, the sounds she made while in labor, the pacing - that is when I shut it down because IMO this is all very intimate stuff, not for sharing on national TV. Hell, when I gave birth I refused to have medical students present to observe (and I got pretty pissy when one of the nurses tried to push the point with me).

I cannot imagine that Anna was comfortable with the degree of intrusion that entailed, and with having that recording out there, forevermore, in the public domain.
