1st Term Obama Approval

Again, jericho, what do you think of the fact that Obama would be part of our Conservative party? I wouldn't vote for him if he ran here because I consider him right wing, although I would give him my vote if I was in the states because he's not CRAZY right wing.

You do realise that you have to look at the source for information like this? Something called 'The Right Scoop' might be the teensy bit biased.

I know I'd be smoking of Bush was running my country but it probably wouldn't be cigarettes...

And a Free Jinger favorite, the Huffington post is not biased either.

I get so flipping annoyed when people blame Obama for our economy being down. Do these people not remember all the stupid shit Bush did that brought our economy down? We were overseas for so many years, for what again? The economy isn't going to bounce back with a drop of a hat.

Besides, compared to the other nut jobs who are running for presidency, Obama has better views than Santorum/Romney/Santorum combined.

Never read that and nor do I know what it is. That's besides the point. You're not acknowledging that a) your source is biased and b) that Obama is politically a conservative.

Do you think if another serious Democrat was running for office against Obama, they would have a big chance of winning?

Hell if Jesus Christ were running for president most republicans would not vote for him, he'd be labeled socialist.

I like that even if a media source goes after both left and right, the simple fact that they include the right means they are a left wing organization.

Depends which Jesus you mean. This pic is far more insightful than anything Jericho posts:

Jesus wasn't a socialist and here's why. Socialism forces wealth to be distributed. Civilians have no choice in the matter. Jesus asked his followers to help the poor. It was their own free will to follow Him.

And you think because we didn't continue to lose 750,000 jobs a month (not my number btw) when Obama took office, this is a success? The video explains it clearly. In our worst nightmare of a recession we could not sustain losing that many ADDITIONAL jobs every month. We'd run out of people. So because the amount of jobs lost starting slowing due to running out of employed people, that is a success?

Are you suggesting that there are no employed people now? We're all out of work? You may not know anyone who is employed but pretty much everyone I know is working, including those who lost their jobs during the recession. Gotta' love the GOP assertion that everything was going along just swimmingly until Jauary 2009 when Obama took office, and then. . .whoops! Country went down the tubes. If I fault Obama for anything it's that he was 1) too inexperienced as a politician to anticipate the opposition he was going to encounter in Congress, and 2)too willing to compromise when he should have stood his ground.

Where are you from? It all depends on how you define conservative I guess. I didn't link that video because of the website name. I linked it because it related to the topic at hand and made a good point.

Sorry! Try not to giggle when they thank Jesus for dinner.

Jesus asked his followers to help the poor. It was their own free will to follow Him.

"Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me."

That's a pretty clear order to give up all your material wealth for Jesus. Also, people who voluntarily don't follow Jesus by giving to the poor go to hell. Isn't that inducement enough for food stamps, public education, and universal health care?

No, I'm suggesting that we'd never get to the point of 100% unemployed. That's why the unemployment slowed down. I'm not giving President Bush a pass. The ball was rolling when he left for sure. My beef is that in my opinion, Obama has done nothing to stop to problem, even with 2 years of Dems owning the House and Senate.

The UK.

Jesus was big on helping the poor, he'd be all for socialism or universal healthcare at least!

You missed my point. IF you follow Jesus you are commanded to give. IF. Not a mandate, you have a choice. Obama doesn't want to give us a choice, he wants wealth distribution to be law of the land. As you said, you can give to the poor and not be a follower of Christ, but that is why Christianity is based on grace, not works.

So...people need choices? Like how the right wants choices on abortion? Who gets medical care? Who we can legally discriminate against? Who we can love?

Christianity is based on grace, not works.

You better hope so.

Also, Poe's law?

It's not about force, it's about everyone having the basic right to decent healthcare.

I don't want the government giving me rights. If they give them, they can take them away. The only rights the government should be involved with is defending our Unalienable Rights. The right to Health care is not an Unalienable Right.

Right. That damn payroll tax cut for me and my family and the tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires! Redistributing our own money back to us. Damn that socialist!

Unalienable rights? You mean life? The one you need to be in decent health to live?

The right to Health care is not an Unalienable Right.

Then by extension neither is the right to life! Since a lack of healthcare usually results in death...

Abortion party at my place!

But everyone SHOULD follow Jesus right? Isn't that the basic premise of Christian evangelism? Ergo, everyone SHOULD give up all their material wealth once they see the light and "come to Christ".

Funny I never read 'opt out' in the bible, but I did see it Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
