I think they are, but Anna's kids have been born while the show is being aired so they will have lots of gifts sheeple have sent them. Michelle's youngers kids are much more nicely dressed than the older ones were at the same age, probably due to gifts and the family being more financially secure. Also, since the older girls are shopping for their little siblings and they don't have to "match" when they go out in public anymore, the Duggars are all better dressed. I am glad they haven't pulled the prairire dresses and bloomers out of the closet for Joy, Hannie and Jenny. The boys also have the freedom to wear t-shirts, not only polo shirts with top button done up.

I love thrift stores, especially since I bought my son a Giogio Armini suit for $7.00 that would cost over $2000.00 retail. It was in perfect condition.

Feel free to pass that on to me when your son grows out of it if your son is larger than mine.My youngest is 9 and he wears a 10-12. He went through a "suit phase" a few years ago when all he wore was suits(and a tophat).

Thrifting is the best! My latest find was a pair of Tori Burch shorts for 10 bucks that would have been close to 300 retail! Score! One of the clasps on the waist needed to be sewed, took five minutes and I will be stylin' this summer! Oh well if the Duggars aren't shopping thrift stores anymore, the more for the rest of us! :)

There is an amazing thrift store one the Northshore (Chicagoland). Tons of clothes still have the tags, and most of my clothes come from there. Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, J Crew...damn I love that place. Just got a brand spanking new Marc Jacobs bag there last week...Macy's donated a load of bags so it had never been used.

It can be hit or miss at times, but when it's a hit it's a hit!

And THAT my friends is why I am the Empress of Goodwill. :) Nothing better than the thrill of the hunt and an awesome score!

Me too! I found a pair of Prada boots for $20! I looked online and they retailed for over $1500. Fuck yeah!

Duggar irony: Smuggar stumbles upon a Coach Outlet, apparently thinks it's a real store, derisively denotes it as snooty "Romney class" then proceeds to buy Anna a tacky pink cloth purse from said store.

Yeah, I had the same #logicfail response. If you can buy Anna a (nasty) purse in the "romney" class store then arent you at the same level and therefore "ebil" per the snark in your tweet?

BTW Joshie, since you read here, a coach purse will not impress anyone. I'm gonna need a louie.

I agree with another poster, I think the Anna going to the thrift store was staged. Michelle and her kids have pretty much stopped going to thrift stores. Several of the kids have been wearing Aeropostale clothing and an Aeropostale bag was visible in one episode and Johanna had a nightgown that was a popular clothing list.

Yep, you want to get fancy get Hermes. In my industry Coach is called "aspirationsl retail.". Hey, it's still good stuff, but it's definitely not Romney class.

If you are ever in Chicagoland, go to Highland Park to ORT Resale store. Haddasah House is pretty good too, but ORT usually has better finds.
