Reason for Bates joining Duggars campaigning, courtship?

I wouldn't be surprised if a Bates/Duggar courtship happened. There have been rumors and speculation before. I remember a couple of years back on IMDB, there rumors about JD and Erin and I remember another rumor that went around about Zack and Jana. I agree with tabitha2, Erin is too prissy and can't see her with JD. I think Lawson and Jill or JD and Michaela might be good couples.

Which kids are there? It could only logically be two of them... Erin, Alyssa, Lawson, Nathan and JD, Jill, Jessa, Jinger.... so it can't involve Jana or Michaella (the submissive workhorses). I think that JD is the one the Duggars would let go but I can't see him with Erin, she is such a princess and I think he'd like a simple country girl. Though opposites do attract!

If there is a courtship, I think it will be between JD and one of the Bates girls. I do not see Jim Bob allowing one of his girls to court Lawson nor do I see one of the girls wanting to court him. Lawson seems like a sweet kid but he seems to spend most of his money supporting his parents and siblings. He isn't going to be buying a house without taking on debt. I doubt his landscaping business is enough to support a wife. If Jim Bob allows his girls to court/marry, it is going to be to one of the wealthier fundie families. The Bates family always seems to be hurting for money. I can't imagine one of the Duggar girls wanting to live on a bare bones budget. How will Lawson afford all the makeup and hair products? The girls have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle, i.e. endless trips and shopping for name brand groceries. The older Duggar girls remember living on a tight budget in that tiny house, I doubt any of them want to go back to that way of life.

I am doubtful of a courtship. Michelle and Kelly are the perfect frenemies, and there is too much competition between them. A Bates/Duggar courtship might happen in the distant future just because there aren't that many fundies families to choose from, but it won't be with any of their star children, the older ones that the public actually cares about. They all have to find outsiders so they can out-purity each other or compete in other ways. The Duggars didn't allow Josh to kiss Anna, so then Zach isn't even allowed to touch Sarah.

I'm thinking they need to marry Jana off soon. She's about to fall off the wagon. We know she's been to "retraining" once this year, and had to sit with mommy and daddy at the book signings this summer. They also havent let her off the reservation during the campaign. My money for a tell all book is Jana, unless they give her a headship SOON

Perhaps we will see Jana working at Gothard Central to get herself a man. It worked for Priscilla Keller and that girl Kendalyn who married Robert Staddon. Probably more, but I don't know that many fundies.
