They look like normal teens

Miss Raquel and her friends look like normal teens who hang out at the mall. BUT

Daniel (the Anonymous Antagonist) defended to the death using "gay" and "retard" and insults, thinks women should ask their father what they should wear, and that women should try their best to look pretty even if they aren't.

Forrest thinks women should dress in ways that don't make creeps want to look at them, that girls should dress in cute dress, pink ribbons and girlie stuff, that guys live for the moment that they can save a pretty girl, and that it is the wife's job to make the husband feel manly by not being independent.

Wesley is the most normal one, despite being courtship only. He thinks that if a woman wants to go to college she shouldn't let men stop her. And that a woman can care for the family while working. And that it isn't women's jobs to keep him from being defrauded.

Caleb that women who dont' dress modestly enough are sinning by tempting men into sinning and that is "simply not acceptable". He thinks women should think really hard about what they wear so that they won't wear the wrong thing and bring God's judgement on them. And he wants to remind women that "GOD IS ALWAYS WATCHING!" so they better not be acting in defrauding ways.

And then there is Miss Raquel is claims that her words are really God's words and, of course, is the most modest maiden on the internet. She has pictures to prove it.

It is just weird how normal they look, yet most of them hold crazy fundy beliefs.

I hate the fundies who say women cause men to sin. FUCK YOU! Men cause themselves to sin. They need to be accountable for their actions and not put the blame on an innocent women. This is why many rape attacks dont go to trial. The defense puts the victim through the ringer and says that the women caused the attack.

Caleb doesn't look overjoyed to be there, does he?

I've known several fundie lite kids who dress normal. My son has a male classmate who wears a purity ring and is very religious. He and my son get along very well despite the fact that Chris is an atheist/agonstic/deist(depends on his mood)

I have a young family member who looks emo- hair dyed dark, covering one eye- who is so homophobic that my son really doesn't like to be around him. The boy(not my son) is fundie lite also.

Caleb looks like he is one duck lips, jazz hand picture away from stomping out of there.

And I also know plenty of fundie/fundi-lite teens who dress normally. I was just thinking that if I saw this group at the mall, I wouldn't have any idea that they believe those sorts of things, while people like the Maxwells, if you saw them out, you would know right away that they were most likely fundies. I think the whole, looking and acting normal thing is more likely to attract people to the beleifs as opposed to being told you need to trade in your jeans for a frumper.

She's got a point, though. Holy.

In that one pic where she says Caleb looks like he wants to kill her...no, honey, he looks like he wants to bang you. You dirty, wanton temptress.

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.

I got my stickers today after renewing my vehicle registration.
Just reminded me again how different Minnesota is from Iowa.  Since I didn't register my vehicle in January last year, I got a sticker for the month since all MN plates are made with JAN printed in the lower left hand corner.  They also require people to put stickers on both the front and back plates, as opposed to Iowa that just want's the single sticker on the rear plate.
Oh well, considering how MN is trying to move into the 2020s while Iowa is trying to lurch the fuck back to the 1840s, the type and number of license plate stickers is really a minor thing.
