Isn't it time for Kelly Bradrick to be pregnant again?

I don't know what pictures everyone else is referring to in this thread, but I thought they lived here:

Or at least, this was one of the houses they were seriously considering purchasing at some point.

Thank you for posting the link. This house is just beautiful, especially the wood floor!! I'd love to live in a house like that.

Oh, look, I found the photo I was referring to. Okay so it's not two steps up in the set of stairs, but it's still super bold and obnoxious:

They definitely did not end up in that house. Probably because it is far too modern and clean and able to accommodate their brood; what would Kelly do all day with an up to date, modern house?

His Facebook talks of the boiling water for baths. (Link not broken because no matter who would wish otherwise, there is no way for anyone to know who or how often or how many hits/views your Facebook page gets)

After reading that Facebook post, all I can say is, "damn"! Unfortunately, Pete's post exemplifies the kind of messed up priorities we often see so many fundies exhibiting. It's more of a priority for them to continue pumping out child after child than it is to adequately take care of the ones that are already here. I'm sure the cost of a new water heater would've been equivalent to or lower than what they paid to tag along with Dougie on his vacation last year. But ya gotta keep up 'appearances' folks!

As much as he is a douche canoe and as much as I would like to feel sorry for her, she has some accountability here, too. She should never have married such an ass-hat and she should put herself on birth control or learn to say "no" if the children she has don't have heat and hot water. And while he is galavanting around the world (and she sometimes gets to go with him, which is probably all fully funded by VF), she has GOT to be exhausted taking care of and homeschooling 4 kids so close in age. You rarely see a photo of her not looking like an energetic young mom, but that photo from the house shoot of her in the black sundress and super pregnant and with her two first sons is evidence she's not always the glam girl they try to make her look like. In fact, she's nothing more than a baby machine with a pretty face, and who knows how long that will last?

Has anyone ever read her book? She wrote a book about her grandfather, whom the family all seems to idolize since he flew planes in WWII. It's Scott's dad, Bill Brown. I'm sure the book is a real barn-burner, but what else was she to do while she was waiting for Petey to come along?

OK, was "Anonymous" @ September 16, 2006, 9:45 PM one of you FJ-ers?

Anonymous September 16th, 2006 9:45 pm :

This is the first blog post I’ve ever seen of a friend of the groom making posts about the honeymoon. Hmmm.

joel_C01 September 16th, 2006 11:40 pm :

Ain’t they the best lookin pair… those are some great shots! Do you have any pictures of the wedding?

Nathaniel the Darnell September 16th, 2006 11:50 pm :

Anonymous: I don’t know what you could possibly mean. In all sincerity, I did not take these pictures. As anyone in San Antonio who knows Peter is well aware, he didn’t tell anyone — not even his brother — where he was going for his honeymoon. These photos are some he shared with us.

Joel: Do I have pictures of the wedding?! DO I HAVE PICTURES OF THE WEDDING?!! Scroll down on the page a bit.

Nathaniel

'Fess up!

It was not me! I only found these photos maybe a couple of years ago, so very long after the fact. But I do think it's odd he's still got them out there. It wasn't his wedding and definitely not his honeymoon.

Absolutely. I have never once expressed feeling sorry for her or anything of the kind. Personally, I think she's as much of a douche as her husband. If the fundie mole (Knight in shining..whatever) is to be believed, she had her pick of suitors and she set her sights on Peter. Whatever she saw of his future (he is the Prince of VF and of her father, so no doubt she saw a lot more than is actually there) she wanted it.

She relishes the pillar she was put on in the world of Dominionism. She plays the role completely and embraces it. She is looked up to and admired and people want to model their weddings after hers, and who knows what else. Then, she was fortunate enough to be fertile and pop out three boys in the first four years of marriage before being rewarded with her girl. What rewards their god has given them for being so faithful! The manliest man in Dougie's inner circle now has three manly man boys to raise up and be the next generation's warriors and patriarchs. Kelly & Peter have done their jobs well, played their parts expertly, and reaped all the rewards they were looking for. They are perfect for each other. I don't think anyone else could have handled either one of them. Their egos are larger than Peter's ears and they are the only logical partner for each other.

Aha, I lived in a house like that for a while, actually in Silicon Valley- yeah, it was kind of an illegal rental. The hot water tank was so small that it never had enough water for my own shower, never mind if I had kids to bathe. It was just enough for a load of laundry.

But if you own the house, why don't you get a bigger hot water heater? There was enough room for one in the house I rented, basically the tank is the same footprint, just taller. He treats his wife horribly. I wish there was some way to tell her that she doesn't have to put up with this, and overcome her brainwashing.

Again, they should be living in a tent for all the convenience the house gives them. Maybe get a KOA membership so they can have hot showers without having to boil their own water!

I wonder what Petey's job at NCFIC's actually pays him. I'd love to see their tax return!

It's also pretty dangerous to be hauling gallons of boiling water through the house with 4 small children underfoot. A scalding accident can be deadly, or at least horrific.

I totally thought this. I annoyed the snot out of my husband by taking all the handles off the kitchen drawers after I caught a belt loop on one of them. I wasn't holding anything hot, but I could have been and the risk was not worth the pretty handles. He moaned a bit, but we got new handles.

Do they really not have a hot water heater? :o Even if he can't afford one, you'd think someone in their family circle would care enough about them (mainly the kids) to give them one.

I've noticed that most fundys we talk about are pretty accomplished in begging for the necessities of life online. Hell, some have even gotten whole houses out of the deal. This guy can't even get an adequate water heater out of them for his wife and brood. I'm thinking god doesn't really love him.

They do have a hot water heater. It's just small - 20 gallons. Not really conducive to raising an army for god, but I suppose as long as Kelly keeps boiling water on the stove and not complaining there is no reason to do anything about that. Besides, I'm sure that money is much better spent allowing Peter to join Doug in his manly romps around the world.

He works for his father in law, who has a sprawling farm and lives damn well. Daddy can't afford to pay his wife's husband a decent enough salary so they don't have to live in a farm house without heat or insulation and can't get a decent water heater. Way to go, dad. I guess when you transferred authority you transferred any and all part in keeping your daughter and grandkids healthy and well.

I believe that someone from here (Free Jinger) did find the NCFIC's tax returns one year and posted the salaries of Scott, Pete, and David. I don't remember exactly what he was making, but I do remember thinking, given his credentials, it was a lot more than what he would receive had he NOT been employed by his father-in-law (socialism is unbiblical, but nepotism on the other hand... ;) ) I also remember thinking that, given his over-inflated salary, it still wasn't a whole lot of money considering he "heads" a 1 income family with 5 other members. Even if he was making $100K a year, that's not a whole lot of money when you consider 6 people have to live off that income and it will only get worse the older the children get and the more children they have.

I just looked up NCFFIC's 990 form from the last tax year and they only paid him a little more than half of that. However, he does have other businesses and assets to his name and it's pretty difficult to work out how much he takes home, when it's all said and done. I"m sure they're in a better financial situation to be having a megafamily than the average undereducated QF couple, but that isn't really saying much.

My husband and I have four children. For the last few years of his service in the military, we earned about fifty thousand a year. We managed to keep electricity and water on in our house. My guess is that providing comforts like warm water and electricity for their families isn't a big priority for Vision Forum guys.

Running around with Dougie, telling the world how masculine that his is and going on expensive adventures is where Peter's priorities lay.

Women and children are status symbols to these guys. However, they don't really care enough to make certain that their dependent family members have things like good food or comfort. Peter isn't going to refuse to follow Dougie so that he can set aside money to turn on the electricity or buy a new hot water heater.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Kelly's not complaining about it (doesn't he say in his boiling water post "and we're loving it!") since good fundie wives find the joy (or at least fake it well enough) in EVERYTHING! Yeah, right. I personally think that Peter is such a tool that he actually LIKES that they are "roughing" it. He clearly considers himself quite the manly warrior and I believe he's written that when searching for a wife he wanted someone that was fully prepared to not live an "easy" life. I guess a 20 gallon water heater = roughing it. Clearly he can afford a better hot water heater but chooses not. The more I read about Ears Bradrick the more I despise him.

Wasn't it Knight that said Peter wants everything to be more like in the military? Well then, he should be making his own bed, washing his own clothes (by hand in cold water), making his own lunch and taking care of the weaker ones (women and children). I bet he doesn't even heat their fucking water - that's what sturdy women are for. Roughing for this moron means enjoying to watch as his broodmare roughs it.
