Most, if not all of the adopted kids, are special needs.

Probably easier for them to control...or maybe they're half decent human beings.

I know Gothard himself is anti-adoption because the kids inherit their parent's sin.

Bingo, it also generates interest, sympathy, and attention to their family. Gothard probably gave them a signed papal waver or some reason.

I'm glad the Duggars get to see what special needs kids are like - since Josie and J'20 may yet go further down that road.

Could the Vanderhoffs be the family that "house sat" when the J'family went on their 20 world tour? I seem to recall the family having some children using crutches etc.
