so I just came back from the theater... it's not too bad! As usual awkward dialogue at times. Other awkward scenes like when all the werewolf meet and talk... really weird transformers like voices.

 

Also I could not think possible to dramatize the birth more than it already is, but yeap they did it! Why did they make her heart stop? I don't remember that?

 

I think also that the imprinting did not seem as creepy as in the book?

 

And older Renesmee is really gorgeous!

 

All in all I'm looking forward to watch part 2, coz when Bella wakes up as a vampire, it's my favorite part of the book, but more than anything I want to watch the Hunger Games.

So did anyone pass out or go to the hospital or get sick because they were so traumatized by the birth scene? I read that in one of the other threads and I'm trying to figure out how that would happen. I mean even if they showed the baby crowning and coming out I can see maybe some people covering their eyes... But that's it. Unless they did that and made it really, really, unrealistically gruesome.

Well edward tears the membranes out with his teeth. so I could understand fainting. He presents a very bloody Renesmee while still having blood on his teeth lol

I was bored, there was no plot. I swear 80% of the movie consisted of Bella/Edward making out. Was anyone else's theatre as obnoxious as mine was during the sex scene?

no ours was very quiet.

I loved the lines like "I don't know if I can do it. I don't promise anything" I was thinking wouah lucky you, you married an impotent guy! lol

did you read the book? in the book, the baby doesn't come out the va-jay-jay...edward bites it out, c-section style. yeah, weird, i know. the reason is because the placenta separated and since carlisle wasn't there and there was a vampire-strong membrane in the way, edward had to use his sharp teeth to do it.

I never made it past chapter one of book one. I felt my brain melting.

lol the only way i was able to make it through them was to just shut down my brain to the point where i simply read and didn't pass judgement. when i did that, i actually liked it lol but then i read it again, with a more technical eye, and it's just a pile of shit. i'd classify it as a "guilty pleasure" that i'll indulge in not very often.

Unfortunately (fortunately?) I can't do that. I've been trained to well.
