They have an industrial dishwasher. Why they need one is beyond me; they use forests and forests of paper plates.

I think he probably actually does a fair bit of property management and helping out Josh/JD. I doubt he's as lazy as Michelle.

I doubt he's busier than her ,honestly.

They have an industrial-sized dishwasher. If you watch the "16 Children and Moving In" special Michelle says "It can do a whole load of dishes in MINUTES!"

Which begs the question "Why doesn't she use it?!"

I cringe every time I see a paper plate in that show; it's just one more reason I can't stand them!

I feel bad for Jessa and Jinger; they're each responsible for cooking for 20 people. Why can't a couple of their younger brothers help out?

If a boy cooks food too often, he will turn into a gay liberal intellectual atheist, trufax. That's women's work and all the boys need to spend their time learning to be manly men so they can impregnate their future helpmeets 20 times. Frankly, I'm surprised that they even let a boy clean bathrooms. This crowd is really big on strict gender roles.

Man the lack of recycling and use of real dishes gives me the crazies. Do any of the uber fundies use real plates?

And that pantry is FULL of name brand stuff - as were their carts the last time they were filmed getting groceries. What happened to buying store brands, like they did in the beginning?

Looking at their closet, do they (or Fundies in general) have something against prints on their clothing? Or does draw too much attention away from everyone's countenance?

Except that he is always having to leave his business at the drop of a hat to go off and be part of the travelling dog and pony show. How can any business be successful if that is the case? Especially a towing business? People will quit calling pretty fast if he is never there.

I think JD might have someone covering for him when he is away. It was mentioned in another thread that Josh employs a friend to help him out with the lot, so maybe that friend does tow runs when JD isn't around.

I think JD is actually ok compared to Josh. The gun pictures showed a bit of arrogance, but I think JD simply made a dumb decision to pose like that. JD has a good work ethic something that Josh doesn't have.

The Duggars have changed some of the shopping habits due to their TLC salaries. They aren't shopping at thrift stores as much, so it isn't surprising that they stopped buying generic brand food.

I think they're just out of fashion in fundyland. It used to be all about patterned frumpers and big collars, now it's all long denim skirts and shirts/polos with a modesty band instead.

I suppose that means all those TV chefs like Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsay are gay liberal intellectual atheists then, eh?

Does anyone know if Josiah does all the bathrooms? Maybe he only does the boys' bathrooms; after all, you can't have a girl going into the boys' bedroom!

Co-sign. I imagine JD is doing Boob's work if he's not on tow runs. Joseph can drive now and you bet he has a whatever license he needs to tow cars if JD is stuck collecting rent for his father.

I'd love to see Smuggar's to-do list. Probably something like:

7:00: Anna gets up, showers, feeds kids. Goes back to sleep.

10:00 Staggers into kitchen, Anna makes bagel with cream cheese and a box of pop-tarts for breakfast.

10:30 Shower. Contemplates purchasing Men's Spanx off of EBay to avoid buying a new pair of Sl.

12:00 - 2:00 Car lot. Surfs for porn.

2:00 -3:00 Take out from local fast food joints (if it's Tuesday, it must be Chick-fil-A)

3:30 Home. "Fun" with Anna while the kids nap

3:35 Nap until dinner

6:00 - 7:00 Dinner. Equal distribution of the four food groups: carbs, fats, sodium and sugar.

7-7:30 Play with kids

7:30 - 10:00 TV in the bedroom with Anna.

10:00 - 1:00 Surf porn after Anna goes to sleep

1:00 Snack (can of Pringles preferred)

1:30Sleep

Hardcore fundies LOVE the prints. Look at the Duggars on 14 Kids and Pregnant again. The girls had those horrible panda print frumpers and everyone wore a lot of plaid. More recently there were those ugly homemade Bates dresses and the Maxwells have their matching frumpers. I think the Duggars try to blend in and that means few prints.

Eh, maybe they just don't like prints. They do tend to dress similarly for the special stuff, though, maybe that's why.

They used to love prints, big time. Remember in the earlier specials they wore home-made jumpers made of bulk fabric with some ridiculous prints. Most of them were just horrid florals, but one type had giant pandas or something on it. And their idea of formal for the girls was matching jumpers (Mom included) with a weird red plaid print. It wasn't as obnoxious as many of their other prints, but still pretty bad compared to the boys who just wore normal suits.

I didn't know that. I know some of their pics Michelle and the girls would wear the same print, or similar. Some of the pictures of them I've seen though, they're wearing plain frumpers. Really, I only see the newish pics, that's probably why.

I have watched just a few episodes of the Duggars, so I don't know much about them. But I know a recurring theme here is that Michelle is seen as lazy. Why is that? I understand that she has the girls scheduled to help with meals and cleaning, but just because Michelle isn't on the schedule doesn't mean she's sitting around reading a book. I assume she helps the kids, homeschools the kids, cares for the babies, etc. I used to homeschool and I know it's a very demanding job. I only had 3. I can't even begin to imagine homeschooling 20 kids!

I am not in any way defending her - I'm really just wondering if there is evidence to support the belief that Michelle is lazy. I am truly curious.

She said quite recently that he takes power naps, and spends hours on the elliptical every day.

They did an episode where she said that Jessa is in charge of homeschooling. I think they got bad feedback so they took that back and got some shots of Michelle lecturing the children. Also their education is very lacking.

She weans early and passes them off to an elder sibling to raise them. Thats lazy in my book.
