Saudi Clerics: Women Will Turn Gay If They Drive

This is so true! I know some gay women, and all of them drive cars! I can't believe I never noticed this before.

Wow...wild! I never noticed that before either!

Seriously, if this were happening to men somewhere in the world (forbidden to drive or vote), everyone would be up in arms. But, since it's with women (and in the name of religion) no-one seems to notice.

ugh. I'm Muslim and I just hate Saudi Arabian rules. I don't even know where they get them from because obviously there weren't any cars at the time of the Quran... Not getting to drive is one reason I'll never ever live in Saudi Arabia. The Wahabi system is really crazy . In the Middle East, they're not considered a sect of Islam because they reject everything about the other major sects, and only take some parts of the Quran and just take it to the extreme.

I've been driving for 3 years. Still straight as an arrow.

Haven't sold my body for gas money, either, or porn, and I haven't ever been divorced. Okay, I've never even been married, so I can't really get divorced.

I really wonder what fundies think of men sometimes. They can't control themselves at all, can they?

Honestly. Where do they get this from? Women were not allowed to steer carriages?

But if I recall correctly, Michelle D is not driving either. But her daughters are.

 Gas money

Have been driving for almost 10 years, am a little bi. Actually figured that out after I started to drive, but whoa! Never made that connection. What a realization. Now I know where it all came from.

Huh. I've been driving since I was 16 years old, and I'm still 100% heterosexual. Either my car is defective or driving doesn't actually make you gay. I'm going with the latter.

We have seen Michelle drive before, there was one epi where she almost plowed down Johannah in her hurry to escape the compound.

If women is Saudi Arabia could drive, they would escape their oppressive government /religion and then all the men would become homosexuals out of necessity.

Weird, I've been driving for 12 years now (since I was 17). I've never been interested in homosexuality, prostitution, or promiscuity. I am however 29 years old and having sex with my boyfriend, who is the only guy I've ever been with. Scandalous! Though I would have thought that driving myself would have turned me into much more of an ebil, feminist, infidel by now. Shouldn't I be having lesbian and non lesbian sex with a ton of strangers by now? Perhaps I'm defective somehow?

The idea of a woman willingly entering a companionat marriage is just unpossible to these people, isn't it? Women have to be "Always controlled, always confined/Controlled by her parents until she's a wife/Then a slave to her husband for the rest of her life." Because otherwise we might, I dunno, explode or something.
