One of my best friends grew up in Chicago in a super fundie family. The topic is still really raw for her. Then stories like this come up in the news and she breaks down. Why? Because this douche-bag was her high school math teacher.

I'm speechless and so so so glad that she managed to escape this hell.

I was lucky, all I had to deal with the high school coaches (as track manager I had free access to both boy and girl coachs' offices) drooling over the cute young girls. I thought they were disgusting, but this guy wins the prize.

I think she will be okay, but man this has been ROUGH. She has ppl on her facebook wall defending this guy because of what a great teacher he apparently was. Guilty until proven innocent they say...but these are the same people, I'm sure that would be the first to condemn anything a liberal would do, screw waiting to see if a jury found them guilty. Seriously though, they have to have adequate proof to arrest the guy, and ten years?

He's 75 years old, for god's sake. Having been a teacher, I can say that's waaaaaaaaayy to old to be teaching but private Christian schools tend not to pay much ('not criticizing, just sayin') ..........
