So the world record for kids is 69...How does that work?

I think it's very likely that she had many children and many births, including high-order multiples. She probably did have a very large amount of kids, and probably at least one set of quads. It was probably something very remarkable, but I agree that it was probably also exaggerated. It's most likely a combination of both.
