Michelle Duggar with an Attitude

Did anyone notice in tonight's show Michelle definitely seemed a little defensive and almost... rude? She seemed to have sort of a tone in her voice as she answered each question and gave a couple eye rolls. I was a bit surprised to see that!

Also did you notice how Jill kept answering every single question? Every time Jinger answered a question, Jill would watch her as if to make sure she didn't say anything she wasn't supposed to. It was very obvious that they both took a glance at each other before they answered the question and during the middle, as if they are trying to hide something.

Boob was a bit smug when he was asked about spending time with 19 kids. He used the whole "we homeschool" explanation. We all know that he and Michelle despite homeschooling still require that the kids sign up for one on one time.

Yeah I definitely noticed that. They kind of acted as if they were being 'attacked.' Maybe they are aware of FreeJinger through Josh or something and think of us as a threat...

Right, because we live for defrauding Duggars and questioning their "rightness" , encouragement role and their Kool-Aid-pushing ways.

They probably are aware of FJ, and other sites that discuss them. They will always feel threatened when people question their beliefs.

I think the most cringeworthyt part of this Q&A episode is Boob and Mullet's answer about overpopulation. Boob again using Jacksonville, FL as a place where everyone in the world can fit in shows how fucking ignorant he and Michelle are.

My guess is that Jinger has been forcefully fed the Kool-Aid and Jill is making sure she says exactly what JB and Michelle want viewers to believe. Remember how Jinger was when the show first aired? Not so much anymore.

I did notice JB and Michelle throwing out their attitudes to the camera. They should feel threatened by this site--we just speak the truth that they refuse to hear.

I wanted to punch them both in their mouths when they said that overpopulation is a myth.

I love how JB talked about how huge their town is--yeah, it's "huge", but I highly doubt you could fit all of the citizens living in India and China in that small town comfortably.

Everything is a myth if it does not fit into your limited worldview. but remember this is coming from people that think the world is 6000 years old and gothard is a good person. not exactly qualified for any real scientific info in those heads.

Yes, absolutely. That was so fucking cringeworthy.

That and the stupid, stupid questions - people asking about how many groceries they buy and how can they get to date one of the girls and so on. Almost no substantive questions (OK a few exceptions, like the one that triggered the overpopulation answer, the one about joining the military and the one about spending time with the kids). No questions like why don't you let your kids go to college? or how do you feel about ignoring your older daughters' education and other needs because they have to be mothers to the younger ones? etc. Obviously those were not allowed.

I call bull shit on giving the kids one on one time when driving to do errands. Last year it was mentioned that Jinger is the one who does most of the errands. I hope that Boob hasn't disabled the car radio so that when she is out and about she can crank up some rock.

Michelle going to the store with Jinger and the little ones was a total FU Internets!!!!!1111 moment. I doubt that woman has been in a grocery store off-camera since Jana got her driver's license.

I posted about Jacksonville on the other thread. Not surprisingly, the origin of that bullshit was Gothard.

Jinger was definitely muzzled, Jessa only was seen when talking about packing and I only saw Jana speak once, but I was in the kitchen and missed what she said.

The Duggar young adults should not be allowed any more facetime until they've learned to string together coherent sentences. Jill made me squirm, but JD and Joseph were truly cringeworthy. I know that those boys are the ones laboring on Boob's behalf. Has Joseph even "graduated" before being pulled out to work seemingly every day (that they're in town) for his father? They should be seen and not heard; they serve to make every criticism about the lack of education more valid.

I also wanted to cringe when they said "myth". The last part of the answer wasn't bad - I mean, if you produce a ton of children, at least make them decent citizens who want to help the world - but you lose credibility with the audience after the word "myth" since it sounds like you are just echoing a line.

There is no way they would ever "let" one of their offspring to join the military. :liar: To many "scandalous" people for them to interact with. Also, they'd have to do exactly what their squad leader says, not Daddy....

Michelle has always seemed incredibly fake to me, with the sugary cutesy voice. I have always suspected that that act was a very thin veneer, covering a rude explosive temper underneath. When the cameras aren't rolling, she seems like the type to scream at her kids. There was one time that a kid wouldn't read the book she had assigned, and it was very obvious that she was having trouble keeping up the act for tv. She was about ready to scream or slap the kid, but she couldn't do it with the camera in her face and she didn't know how to handle it. In the episode with the little kids riding bikes inside a store, you should notice that her attempt to "discipline" them is completely separate from when they are actually misbehaving. The scene cuts to a different part of the store where she gives them a baby-voice lecture for the camera after she has had enough time to cool down. I wonder if she actually did slap them and they just edited out.

Since she was a teenager, she has always been a total princess and everything is about her. When everyone is praising her, she can keep up the fake niceness. But as soon as anyone dares to question the perfect Michelle, she gets rude. She's a narcissist and can do no wrong and wonders why everyone else can't just see that she's always right.

On the old forum some poster had actually made calculations and they are right that you can fit the world population in Jacksonville. But the problem is not that one: the problem is How do you feed, clothes, house and make sure there is enough water for everyone? It takes a lot of remaining space to do those things even if we could all stand side by side in a relatively small space.

I read the link in the other thread that you put. Gothard and his followers are fucking morons. They can't understand that overpopulation isn't about having room or land for people it is about having enough resources to keep people living comfortably.

The Duggar kids' speaking skills are bit bad.

I'm sure that the "overpopulation is a myth" comments by Boob and Mullet turned some people off last night. In Boob and Mullet's minds they think they are making their kids into good citizens because they go on mission trips. The mission trips are good things to be involved even though some of the organizations they work with aren't the best. But the fact they are raising 19 children to be believe that overpopulation is a myth is sad. Boob and Mullet are probably telling the kids that there will always be a large oil supply because "God will make more oil". Boob and Mullet probably don't know or teach the kids about certain areas in the world that aren't ideal for living because of a lack of water or arable land.

What about the lame Beatles question? How sad that the J'children will never get a chance to listen to the Beatles.

I sort of feel bad that the J'Children aren't experiencing some of the best things of pop culture. Who knows, maybe one of them will break free someday and start listening to the Beatles or other great music. Maybe Katy Perry should find a way to "kidnap" Jill and Jana.
