I picked up a copy of IKDG at a thrift store a few years ago, and the absolutely GOLDEN thing was it had folded up notes in it, like someone had been stuck in a group studying it and flirted like hell via note all the way through - they said stuff like YOU HAVE SEXY EYES and I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT U. It was pretty awesome.

I agree the book itself isn't as extreme as what we see the patriarchalist parents promoting, but I think the idea that dating for fun is a bad idea if you're not ready to get married is...well, dumb. Not as damaging as a lot of the bullshit that gets taught, but still not good for people. On the other hand i can see if you have a daughter who is distracted from school by some poor boychild's problems she has to fix and save him from, it might seem like a literal Godsend and something every teenager should do (just have fun with friends and meet a lot of people and later when you're older find The One).
