Polygamy and Honour Killing?

Horrible story. (This is the first I heard of this story. I didn't quite get the polygamy thing... 2nd wife involved in the killing of 1st wife- was there a divorce/remarriage or was it polygamy? The story was didn't spell that out). Just horrible.

It was polygamy. The first wife lived with the husband and the second wife before her death. The husband married both legally women in Afghanistan (where it is allowed) before they emigrated. All 7 children are the children of the second wife.

When the deaths happened, the husband and second wife referred to her as a cousin of the husband. it was the first wives relatives from out of the country who contacted the police and informed them she was married to him. The Crown has already referred to the first wife's journal in which she describes the abuse she has suffered by the second wife and how she wasn't allowed to leave the home.

I've been to that canal. There is no way you could accidentally drive in where the car was found. The police thought so too.

Normally this just is embarrassing for suspects who have a fondness for awkward porno, but actually Googling how to commit a murder? Why don't you just walk right into the police station with a sign saying LOL I'M GONNA KILL SOMEONE!

This. A million times this. People just don't get how permanent things are on the computer/Internet, despite the history/cookies/hard drive, etc. being erased!

It's a show of how common this type of hate is that I wondered "How could he kill his sisters?" but not "How could he kill his daughters?" Too many men killing their daughters out there.
