I’m guessing he must have visitation. Because it would surprise me if he was given zero visitation of his kids in the divorce. I would imagine though that she has sole custody.

Now you can drink the Remnant water in addition to the koolaid! Bottled Genesis Water is getting a lot of posts and shares among the Remnant faithful. It appears to be the creation of Tina and Chris Clark. (Chris is/was in law enforcement and a security guard for the church; Tina is a homesteader/creative type, and they live on a farm and appear to have dormant least some work with the Days’ MLM. They always seem to be relegated to the Remnant periphery — not quite inner circle. Like anything else having to do with Remnant, I’m guessing the water is monotonous and not as life-giving as it pretends to be.

A friend with a medical background pointed out that the stomach adjusts the pH of whatever comes down the hatch. For example, the stomach will up its production of hydrochloric acid to neutralize alkaline water.

There's some implicit assumption that "spring" water is naturally pure, coming from some magical pure source.  Unless it's a true artisan well, spring water can be totally polluted with every nasty gack that's on the surface as surface water works it's way down to where it comes out as a spring.

Genesis Water web site:  https://howwatershouldbe.com/

They have a very good marketing department.  So.  Much. Bullshit. to appeal to a certain type of crunchy Fundy patriot who doesn't do a lot of critical thinking.

More intrusion into our lives and industries is not better. That is not the way of the USA, where we are blessed with the freedom to seek a way out of the hopeless barrage of toxic unhealthy options, trends, and routines.

GENESIS Spring Water is the beginning of finding that hope.

GENESIS is a beacon reminding us that we can either be like the water in our pristine springs—ever flowing with grace—or like its stagnant rocks that impede our vision for a happier healthier future...

...GENESIS bottles do not contain water like you’re used to drinking*. With its naturally occurring beneficial nutrients from springs as pristine as God made them in the beginning, we know its sustaining, restorative, and hope-inducing properties will have you saying, “This is how water should be!” Funny enough, we were asked why we hear that phrase so often, and we told them, “…it’s because GENESIS doesn’t mess with God’s perfection.”

*their bottles are plastic and I don't know how that fits into "what God intended".

In my personal opinion, the “spring water” cure is crazy old. Hundreds of years ago wealthy people would go to springs to drink the water. It was supposed to be beneficial to their health. Back then medicine was pretty shitty. So people would try anything if they had the money. But here’s the thing, a lot of water in large cities was really polluted. And it was very problematic. Many children died from contaminated water. So it was beneficial for people to drink non-contaminated water back then. But nowadays the vast majority of water in the US is safe to drink. So the idea of “healthy water” is pointless.

I know there are MLMs that sell water and water filtration systems.  Genesis does have a link for interested retailers and distributors, but who knows what sort of business “opportunities“ they may offer.

I’m sure it’s made pure through prayer and fasting.  🙄  I don’t know the source where they get their bottled water, but we always use Brita filters to drink water in Nashville, just because of the taste.  Their farm is close to Nashville.

Meanwhile, Gwen’s whole thing (initially) was that people didn’t have to have special, “healthy” foods/drinks — that anything was fine if consumed within God’s boundaries. That the body was set up by God to eliminate anything toxic, etc. She often quoted that scripture that nothing inside a man could make him unclean. She’d certainly privately roll a wonky eye at Genesis Water — she drank Diet Coke all the damn time.

I think that Remnant Fellowship might be getting in on the "raw water/natural spring " trend .  I just read about it this evening .

Spoiler

Unfiltered and untreated water from a natural spring might sound like an elixir, but health experts warn that drinking so-called "raw water" could end with a trip to the doctor, or worse.

"Raw water" or unsterilized water bottled directly from a natural spring, is becoming a sought-after item in California and parts of the U.S., according to the New York Times. The water, which can sell for around $40 for a 2.5-gallon glass jug, is often free of the any water filtration processes that some "raw water" advocates argue strips natural water of probiotics.

While "raw water" might have some probiotics, or beneficial bacteria, it also contains a lot of "disease-causing organisms at the same time," according to Uttam K. Saha, Program Coordinator at the Agricultural & Environmental Services Lab at the University of Georgia Extension.

"I would say the risk is more than the potential benefits of drinking the water," he said. "You don't know whether the water contains disease-carrying organisms or not, and the same is true for probiotics, we don't know if they are there unless the water is tested."

Saha said people really don't know what they are getting with natural spring water, which could be contaminated with agricultural runoff, or any numbers of chemicals or parasites.

More:8 things you shouldn't leave in your car in subzero weather

He said that drinking raw water could result in a range of negative health responses, from mild gastrointestinal problems, to serious illness, hospitalization, and even death.

Live Water, which pulls water from Opal Springs in Madras, Ore., says its mission is a "new yet ancient idea: Fresh Spring Water delivered in reusable glass." The company delivers water to parts of California, but the company encourages those who are out of the delivery area, to "find a spring in your area" to collect water from.

It's this recommendation for people to collect their own water, that could result in negative health consequences for people who are unaware of the dangers of drinking unfiltered water, according to Jamin Brahmbhatt, a physician at Orlando Health.

"The whole reason we do not have a lot of the disease you see in third world countries, is because of our water filtration system," Brahmbhatt said. "The things our forefathers died of we don't see it, because our government is so strict about how our water is cleansed."

According to the Centers for Disease and Control, the United States enjoys some of the safest drinking water in the world. The CDC said when the U.S. began disinfecting community water in the early 1900s, the country saw a dramatic decrease in diseases including typhoid and cholera.

Brahmbhatt notes that it's "alarming" people are turning from proof that treated water is safe and healthy.

"There are billions of people who would die to have clean water to increase their life expectancy and health, and we are going in the opposite direction," he said. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/01/03/what-raw-water-trend-could-kill-you-health-experts-say/998956001/

Raw water, raw milk, antivax, and the like, seem to all be cut from the same cloth. Complete sanctimonious, "know it all" morons.  They think they did their own "research" (Google search) and smarter than people that have dedicated their life to science.

I have had cream on top, raw milk while ranch sitting at a relative's house 6 or 7 years ago.  In my state, a raw milk producer can deliver locally and I had to pick up the weekly order.  One day a week the producer drove their refrigerated truck around to all the small towns on their route;  customers gathered in a church parking lot of each small town to pick up their milk/butter order.  If anyone got sick from their milk, it would be immediately known.  I have to say, on Cheerios, it was the best thing ever, just insanely good.

I didn't think anything about it then, I wouldn't touch it now, especially with H5N1 infecting dairy herds in my state.

A Texas dairy, Mill King Creamery (like milking and also the Miller family) sells non-homogenized, low temperature pasteurized milk from pasture raised, grass fed cows.  They sell through Whole Foods and the local food co-op here in Central Texas.

"Our milk is low temperature pasteurized or batch pasteurized at 145 degrees for 30 minutes in order to preserve as many of the natural enzymes and nutrients as possible."

No idea if this is sufficient to kill H5N1 virus, but the pasteurization process is sufficient to pass Texas laws concerning dairly products.

I have bought this milk (cream on top!) in the past and it is so good.  During torrid Texas summers I learned to put it in my cart last,  grab a little bag of ice to pack around it for the trip home (10 or 15 minutes) and put it in the refrigerator first, because it would spoil much faster than regular pasteurized or ultra pasteurized milk.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy new year, guided by scienced based living!

I've been given raw milk at an Amish dairy farm in the past.  They sold the milk commercially (and had it pasteurized) but I have to say getting to drink it raw before it was treated and when it was truly fresh from the cow was a real treat - honestly the best tasting milk I've ever had.  Still, I don't think I would risk it today.  But I do understand why people love it.

I grew up on raw milk for my first ten years.  My grandmother kept a cow.  I can still remember the shock of "store milk."  I think that may be why I almost completely quit drinking milk by age 12.

So, as some users predicted, it appears Elizabeth is engaged. Michael posted it on his page, with some users posting what appear to be screenshots from her private profile. Not quite sure what to make of her fiancé...The photos look very awkward.

I want to know how old her fiancé Ryan Kaufman is (might be spelled wrong). My guess was that she would marry a younger man just like her mother. Elizabeth is around 42 I think. Is this guy like 30? He looks fairly young in the picture. Has he been married before?

This was posted under Michael’s video on fb. Weird AF.

Since the man is God’s authority within the household, can Ryan command Elizabeth not to have a pre-nup?
