People asked her what dental insurance she uses. She’s showing her privilege again by saying they have none because her family member is a dentist. How nice to have a brother who can give your 10 kids free dental care. Braggie and her brother were allowed to go to college. But Braggie won’t allow her kids. Unless it’s some tiny Bible college near them that they have to pay for themselves. I hate when fundies do this. They will be doctors, dentists, lawyers, and refuse to allow their kids higher education.

I laughed at myself when I saw this. I agree that I hope her kids have to time to be free and find themselves. Unfortunately she seems like the type to marry them off young.

To be fair, Abbie didn't say it is free. She just said she doesn't need dental insurance. I guess her brother just charges her the minimum rates and it's cheaper than an insurance.

It’s honestly what bothers me the most about Braggie constantly giving out advice. She’s lives a totally different life than 99% of the people who follow her. She’s so privileged and disconnected from  the regular lives of people in the US.

They might just pay for supplies or not at all. My grandpa took all 10 of us grandkids as patients and obviously his grown adult children as well. We just had to go at weird times and wait forever for him to finish up with paying clients. It also meant that holidays often ended with impromptu dental exams and discussions of how future spouses have to show their teeth like horses. Also had an uncle who was an oral surgeon, and he refused to take money from family as well. 

I don't recommend free family dental care.  I have insurance now and I get to pay a copay, but I also don't have to justify life choices at the dentist. I can just chill with my headphones under a blanket and not have to be "on."

She sounds like she thinks she wrote To Kill a Mockingbird. She wrote long blog post in book form. That’s it. Just one big blog. It only sold a bunch of books because fundie SAHMs were bored enough to buy it. You know who else sold a ton of books? EL James. And those books are crap.

Also, what if your uncle / grandpa etc isn’t a GOOD dentist. There’s always good ones and not so good ones, and you can’t just change dentists when your dentist is your uncle  / grandpa etc. Even if he did a bad job, changing to someone else would cause so many discussions in the family.

It used to be that Shaun was never home. Now neither seem to ever be home. Why have 10 kids you homeschool if you are never home and never school them?

Paul Olliges would be so jealous of those medals. 

I'm way behind in my Abby snark. Is she actually wanting another kid while simultaneously never being home and around the kids she already has? Why?

It's not just that she's never home. She is very hard on her kids, and she seems to enjoy them more when they're older. She hasn't quite said why she wants another child, but it seems to be about her brand of being mom, and having something to prove. She made fun of women trying to look younger, but I think she wants more kids because she wants to seem younger.

She knows a baby is social media gold. And it gives her more content and more stuff to write about. A new baby gives her more attention, butt pats, and money.

Ugh, I hate that fundie mom thing of always, always, always having to reassure followers that the being a mom is tops on your list. She cannot simply say she always wanted to be a published writer without hastily adding AND OF COURSE A WIFE AND MOM.

She's in too deep to back up now. Kids are her entire brand. 

Plus her youngest kids are getting older, so she has to at least pretend she's still in the actively-having-kids stage before a new mama of baby twins shows her up.

The oldest is 18, but is working for his father. He has been actively discouraged from going to college and leaving home. She has two more kids who are teens. Her twin girls are 12 years old. Then she has 3 boys. Her youngest kids are 4 year-old twin boys, born on the some day as the girls somewhat deliberately.

Ezra the oldest has always been her dutiful son. He was parentified starting around age 10. She made him constantly babysit not only his younger siblings but other people’s kids. He’s always done what he was told. I hope when he is in his 20s, he finally feels like he can do what he wants. Not what he’s told by his parents. 
 

Braggie’s kids are mostly around 2 years apart. Although the twins are only like 18 months younger than Shiloh. Because Braggie purposely spaced them but claims she lets god decide 🙄

I have ONE 4 year old and feel like I can barely keep my life together between work and parenting. And he goes to daycare.

I just can’t imagine the stress and chaos of not only having another 4 year old, but another 8 kids on top.

It’s why she’s never home. She doesn’t seem to like having a bunch of young kids. Her mom homeschools, her older kids do most of the parenting, cooking, and housework. And she is off traveling half he time. And the other half she’s teaching fitness classes and hiding in her office “writing.”
