Other leaders have left before (before my time), and the cult kept culting.

I remember when the Maxwells(Hecks) and Nissens left Remnant. One major difference was that they didnt put out any public statement (as far as I know), so from the perspective of rank-and-file members like myself, the narrative was completely controlled by Gwen and the remaining leaders, who immediately smeared them by saying the Maxwells and Nissens disagreed with Gwen and didn’t want to be under her authority, and that all the remaining leaders stood up for Gwen and confirmed that Gwen was pure and being led by God.  I’ve always wished the Maxwells or Hecks would show up here and share their side of the story!

I agree with you that perhaps, by reinforcing their loyalty to Gwen’s message of purity and the good ole’ days of Remnant, the Rickmans might be angling to start their own splinter group or trying to channel a sentiment of discontent with Elizabeth that they have noticed in other members…but on the other hand, maybe they are just trying to pre-emptively refute the most obvious smear tactic that will be used against them, which is that they are sinful and didn’t want to follow God wholeheartedly.

You’ll find this in cults and family cults. If one breaks a rule or leaves, it leads to others. They pave a way out. Then others feel like they can follow. We have seen it in so many families and cults. One Arndt gets engaged and 4 others follow. One Duggar wears pants and others follow. One Bates dances and others follow. One Maxwell moves away from Maxhell and others follow. PP has probably lost a quarter of his cult.

Of course just like in PP’s cult, many RF families will stay. But the ones who were having doubts will feel like they can leave now. And I wouldn’t be shocked if they started their own group like RF.

Michael posted a short clip in which Elizabeth can be heard telling the Remnant to ignore “lying, hateful” critics. Assuming it’s a recent clip and hasn’t been completely taken out of context, I have to assume it’s a reference to the Rickmans. Now I’m starting to think that I’ve been feeling a little more sorry for Elizabeth than she actually deserves

I’m sure she believes her own bullshit. She likely does think they are all lying, hateful, and gossiping about her. And that she’s just trying to do her best to keep her perfect mother’s cult going.

Elizabeth apparently still has enough power and control within the cult to make Naomi, Amy, Erin, and Tish absolutely debase themselves while publicly taking the fall for a text message that, to a normal person, sounded completely fine. Maybe some Remnant asshole tattled to some other Remnant asshole that Elizabeth’s text message sounded sinfully self-focused or something dumb like that. The culture within the Remnant cult is toxic.

The word  that came to mind for the endless, repetitive word-salad was "groveling" -- apoligizing over and over and OVER for something that was really quite ordinary.  This is *we must make amends or we'll be beheaded for displeasing the queen...11eleventy!!!* level idiocy, combined with a version of *the emperor has no clothes* relative to Elizabeth's horrifically skeletal condition.

And why was Elizabeth still assumed to be Gwod's successor when she's obviously not functional and hasn't been for years?  Three years (?) is plenty of time to get your act togehter.  She isn't capable of assuming the mantle of leadership, if she even survives her current "health issues".

Meanwhile, it appears her kids have been trotted out there all this time — without her. That’s the part that gets me. Her children have been through all the loss that she has, and they’re a fraction of her age. Hasn’t this been emotional and difficult for them too? Why, if she hasn’t been able to bring herself to go, have they been expected to go and be the smiling/strong public face of the family for three years? That seems like a heavy burden to put on them, especially the youngest.

(Of course, maybe they *wanted* to go. If so, fine.)

I agree. But her kids weren’t raised by Gwen. So they might be a little more resilient than Elizabeth. I imagine Gwen just shattered any kind of self worth, confidence, and sense of self Elizabeth ever had awhile ago. Her sense of self was likely as a daughter of Gwen first, wife of Brandon second, and mother. 2/3 of her identity died in that crash. And she has zero coping skills to deal with losing 2/3 of herself.

What I don't get is why Grace and Timothy broke up and then magically they're fine and engaged and married in like a month. I can only hope that Grace had a moment of clarity and didn't want to go forward with her arranged marriage. Maybe that moment will stick with her.

Grace did not go with Timothy to the September 2023 Remnant Youth Ball … she had another date, and they appeared on camera together. But you can’t find that video now (at least I couldn’t )! Like so much troublesome Remnant footage, it went poof!

Then they had the 2024 Youth Ball in March … *not* September, as it had been the previous two years. And Grace and Timothy attended together. Did they fast-track this year’s ball so they could re-claim their cult power couple status again before getting engaged/married?

Michael posted this video (click link not photo) of Elizabeth's recent return to the stage. She seems defensive and bothered; maybe it's just the lip injections making it come across that way.

You are right, she didn’t seem pleased. I agree she came off as defensive.

My problem with these men kissing is that they kick people out for being gay. They are hypercritical for sure, but this is mocking gays, or they want to play being gay or….  Just so wrong to be horrible people.

In another candid video clip that got deleted on his page (maybe when Michael changed out his version of his video with Elizabeth calling out haters), Daniel Baker was physically hanging on Durville Patton at a sporting event. They were trying to get on the Jumbotron by acting like a couple. Daniel kept repeating, “We’re bi-racial!” for attention, but alas the camera crew ignored them. It was bizarre. Also, Daniel Baker always struck me as a thirsty, hyperactive clown.

I hope those texts get spread throughout the Remnant members. No one could ever venerate leaders who behave like that…except, wait, we just re-elected Trump in a landslide. So maybe Elizabeth’s leaked text messages outing her as an immature, vulgar brat will leave her more popular than ever with the Remnant members.

Long story long: The Rickmans went to an RF member’s birthday party instead of going to Elizabeth’s Days of Awe party at Ashlawn the same night. Rhonna Rickman accidentally posted birthday party pics on the wrong group message — a group message with Elizabeth on it! And Elizabeth lost it. This transpired in a GROUP message!

For the record:

Days of Awe is supposed to be a time of holiness.

Pottymouth Elizabeth recently said she’d only tolerate holy living in the church.

One of the people in the birthday party pics — that Elizabeth called whores — is her new son in law’s father. And that’s Avery Martin’s father-in-law too, yet she’s amused by the whole thing.

Nathan’s obesity always has been tolerated in a fat-shaming church.

Tish is the youth orchestra leader.

This is certainly what prompted the Rickmans to leave — two months later. The Rickmans should have yanked their family out the very *second* Rhonna was treated this way.

I can’t believe she (Rhonna) apologized . She’s acting like a spoiled, high school brat. Rhonna is better than me because I would have cussed her out so good, Elizabeth would had to kick me out of RF immediately.

"Cuz who tf you think you talking to?!" -My first sentence in that message

I’m now picturing Elizabeth as Regina George from Mean Girls. Ronna played the role of Gretchen Weiners by apologizing after being cussed out.

Remember when Regina realized she wasn’t invited to Cady’s party and she flipped out? That’s exactly what happened here.

Someone had a party and not only didn't invite Elizabeth but it was the same day as Elizabeth's big Holy Days thing, and then she found out and was, like, so mad, and then she said they couldn't come to any of her parties, and then Ronna finally went "well I don't like you anyway", and now they're not friends.

My inner grade 8 girl just had so much fun writing that.

As for these adults acting like this - this cult is definitely crumbling because it's obvious from this that Elizabeth isn't held in the same esteem as Gwen was, and without that it's going to be harder to keep it going.
