Murdered: San Antonio, TX, Savanah Soto, 18, 9 months + pregnant

One of the most chilling murders, basically assassination.  Baby daddy, Matthew Guerra,  was involved in selling vapes with THC, so illegal but not hard drugs.  To my mind, this is absolutely a cartel/drug gang hit.  

Reports say both were killed by a single shot to the back of the head.  Savanah was in the front passenger seat, holding a baby seat,  Matthew Guerra was in the back seat.  Unborn, full-term baby was declared dead at the scene.

Tragically, "Soto’s younger brother, Ethan, was killed in a shooting on May 16, 2022...Victor Nathaneal Rivas, now 19 years old, was charged with murder in the case. An arrest warrant affidavit stated the shooting happened over what appeared to be an act of revenge for a drug robbery."  Ethan was 15.

There was a similar brutal murder near me not long ago. They killed the infant, too.

There have been two arrests, father and son.  The son committed the murders during a drug deal, then called dad to help him dispose of the bodies. Son will be charged with capital murder, dad has been charged with abuse of a corpse. 

Father, son arrested in connection with murder of pregnant Texas teen Savanah Soto and boyfriend: 53-year-old Ramon Preciado and 19-year-old Christopher Preciado are currently in custody and are pending charges

"Key evidence collected at the scene, including Soto's cell phone led to the arrest. With the assistance of SAPD technology team and the United States Secret Service they were able to obtain enough information to find a possible location for the suspect's vehicle seen on surveillance video camera footage released last week."   

I've been googling to understand the difference between an accomplice to murder and an accessory to murder in Texas.  Still working on it, but I think the dad will be looking at much more serious charges and the police have indicated that more charges are pending.
