Also, being named “Jedidiah” but called “Jed”, I wonder if he ever resented being named a super fundamentalist Christian name and would have preferred a more normal name (like many of his siblings). He may not want to go for something like Ezra or Ezekiel in that case.

Their current children don’t have names that scream fundie, so they may choose something more normal for their twins as well.

I also can’t remember what I picked for the new duggar twins.  But if I didn’t say it already I think they may use the opportunity to use the girls to give each of them the mothers names as middle names Michelle and whatever her mothers name is. But as she went with the dad maybe not. Maybe her name and her sister’s name.

Since this is the name thread, I will post this gem. Lydia is one of the Millers that used to be friends with the Rods before they had a falling out. So I totally believe Lydia when she says this. I’m sure she’s met tons of fundies with strange names:

Graham Alan Bates is the new baby for Nathan and Esther. Graham was often guessed as a name for one of Jessa and Ben’s “heroes of the faith” boys. I wonder if that was a factor in this name. Nathan does like to play preacher man.

 I went back to see what my pick was for the Seewalds’ latest and it was Graham. I think Esther and Nathan made a nice choice.

My guess for Jed and Katey is:

- Rita Michelle and Julia Marie (for no other reason that the only Nora I know is a romance writer so I looked a list of romance writers and choose names that seems fit)

- Lori Kathleen and Lora Karen (with the matchy matchy vibe)

I think the twins’ names will be somewhat matchy but not obnoxiously so. I’m thinking something like Anna Grace and Amelia Marie.

Since it’s now being speculated that Lauren Duggar is pregnant with an F baby, my guesses are officially Finn (boy) and Finley (girl).

Since Jed and Jer have almost the same damn full name, I truly hope they don’t do that to their daughters. If they end up with twins named something like Hailey Jane and Hallie Jane my eyes will roll out of my head.

They seem to go for trendy-fluffy for girls (Bella and Daisy) and slightly offbeat biblical for boys (Asa the miscarriage and Ezra). I’m convinced a C-baby would have been Caleb. For an F-baby, I’m guessing Faith for a girl. For a boy, I got nothing. 

Not that we’re likely to know, since they no longer publicly announce their births.

Felix - it matches with their boy name choices , and is apparently biblical and growing in popularity, especially with Latin roots- which goes with Lauren’s vibe

Flora, Francesca or Faith for a girl. Leaning towards Flora.

Claire Michelle 

I don’t know why except that would give them the same initials, but not the same sound.
