Singer, rapper, and actor Aaron Carter has died via drowning. He was 34. Carter was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter.

Oh man, celebs seem to be dying so much younger and younger, don't they? How tragic. My best friend was obsessed with Aaron when we were 12 or 13 and was convinced she was going to marry him one day.

He was my daughter's first teen idol crush. She was about eight or nine, he was...maybe 12? I bought her all the magazines, got her his CDs for Christmas and birthday...and then she moved on to N*SYNC. 

Rest in peace, Aaron. 😢
