Singer, songwriter, and pianist Jerry Lee Lewis, “the Killer,” passed away from pneumonia on October 28. He was 87. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician  was a pioneer in the musical genres of rockabilly and rock and roll. Some of his hit songs include “Great Balls of Fire” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Going On.”

I always said I cut my teeth on a Jerry Lee Lewis record. My personal favorite? Another Place, Another Time.

I felt super bad, because when I read the news, my first thought was ''Ugh! I thought he had already passed away.''

Anywho, rest in peace Jerry. Great rock and roller through and through.
