Well at least she can go by Jennie.
Although I think it is not the worst name in fundieland.

I have always wondered why some fundies don’t get more creative with names from the Bible. Genesis can be Genny, Galilee can be Lilee, and Nazarene is another possible name from the Bible. But when they get creative they come up with names like Heistheway.

There are a couple of girls named Genesis at the school I work. It's becoming more popular I guess.

Genesis is the 100 of girls names in the United States. It peaked in 2017 at #56 and is currently #75. I have never met a Gensis myself.

It's an incredibly common name in Latin America, just like Israel.

I know one but it's spelled "Gennasys".  (I don't even think her parents are fundie though I don't know them well).  She is in the 10-15 age range.

Don't know if anyone follows the Hales/Buckinghams, but the youngest Hale, Jonathan, had his first child on 30 July 2022. It was a boy named Hunter Lee Scott. His wife is Karissa Johnson, and they were married 19 June 2021.

Also, his sister Rebecca is pregnant with her first, due mid July 2023. She's married to Leonard Zimmerman.

The Rodrigues Cousin Darienne had her first child, a girl named Valkyria

Interesting name choice. If someone named their child like this in Germany my first thought would be that the parents have some nazi backround.

I'm conflicted on this name. On one hand it buys into my love for weird literary names, on the other hand I'm very very uncomfortable for the potential of white supremacy of this name

It just sounds pagan to me. (not against pagans, but also not very Christian).

Her husband isn’t white so I think it would be weird if they were.

I mean it definitely is pagan? Just not in the earthy-Wicca kind of sense, but more in the "blonde Nordic warrior smashing their enemies to bits" sense. Agree that it has white supremacist vibes. Otoh, I do love Valkyrie in the Marvel movies - maybe they're fans, too, and unaware of the connotations...

I agree, I think because I know a lot about the (definitely improper) use the Nazi Party made of the beautiful northern European mythology and of Wagner music and it's a Jillpm niece... That's why I had some doubts

Thanks for the clarification @JermajestyDuggar and @Bluebirdbluebell

I though it was Star Wars, but I know nothing about Star Wars.

The Bennetts have a new blog post. They said two babies were born in 2022. One was Kathryn and Joel's. Based on other pictures in other posts, their baby seems to be the boy. The other was Matthew's and N'Gella's baby. They seem to have a girl. No names mentioned.

Does anyone know which new niece Beth (Wissman) Beasley is referencing in the Christmas photos? She looks too big to be Ruth or Hannah’s new girl. Did Rachel finally have a 4th? Sorry if it was discussed earlier.
