I could see him dispatching one of his many adult sons to drive one of his old, ramshackle motor homes down to TX for Anna and the kids to live in. He’d likely cajole some pastor to allow Anna and the kids to park in their church’s parking lot and bogart free services (water, electricity and wi-if) in the process. I could totally see this. Heck it would save him the cost of the family using the warehouse-

Does anyone know how the fines work for families?  I'm sure they have to leave a wife and children with something to live on, but his fines are legally her fines since they're married I would imagine.  If she sold a house and got 200k, would the court appropriate that?  Or a percentage?

I read somewhere (reddit?) that the fine does not have to be paid straight away, but has to be paid before release.

With inflation it may be better to wait.

Everything I’m seeing says he owed $50,000 in total fines and assessments. I think it’s like with prison sentencing— fines CAN be up to a certain maximum $ amount, but are generally lower.  
 

The Duggars used to take lots of RV trips, I’m sure they could use one of their nicer  RV’s, or purchase one at a discount, that would work for Anna and the kids to use as a Texas homebase. I think that’s more likely than a house, partly because she could always move it if Josh-u-a gets transferred, partly because being near her sister or a church support would probably be helpful. Also the cost is negligible if they use one they already own.

But mostly because it would be a convenient reason to have several of the Little M’s live mostly with Lolly and Pops. Which I think is what everyone concerned actually wants. Anna still seems, from the little we know, obsessed with her creeper inmate husband. The older kids seem very attached and comfortable with their grandparents and aunts/uncles/cousins. I could see Anna primarily having the littlest ones with her full-time, with the older ones primarily at the big house, and staying with mom a week or two here and there. Pricillas kids are younger, so all those kids hanging out would make sense. An rv that comfortably sleeps 4-5, between a regular bedroom and a bunk room, but can sleep 8 when you add in the couches, would be an ideal face saving set-up.

This is where I feel like we need an on-call lawyer. Both of these statements are true, but I wonder how this specifically affects appeals. I think there are some courts where fines have to be paid in some amount (not always full) before filing an appeal and some where an appeal can go forward without a full payment (or a payment in escrow?) but I don't know where federal courts sit on this. It does seem to have a lot of state-to-state variation but the feds have their own deal. 

I assume he is also on the hook for any transcript costs associated with his appeal, etc. But I do think the lawyers are the biggest cost and the 250K number that floats around was a popular (likely realistic) estimate for the total cost of the legal team.

I recognize that context from the alleged bodyguards Twitter. (The guy who did an AMA) He said Josh ‘hid’ a sister at work. His tweets are now “protected”/private so I will paraphrase:

Once at 3 in the morning Josh was “working” flipping a house. He intentionally concealed a sister was there with him. The bodyguard reported it. He says it was the most shocking thing to happen as Josh’s bodyguard. Bit of an eyebrow raiser, considering things he said in his AMA such as Josh watching porn on his phone while driving.

What should've sounded alarm bells in Anna's brain long before this is that she found herself worried/jealous/angry about that fact. No, Jim Bob, Anna, Josh, and everyone else in IBLP: it is not "typical" for people to worry about a brother and sister being unsupervised on a home reno project together.

I don't put much if any faith in the reddit AMA.  The person may have known Anna way back when, but most of it read like gleanings from reading the internet.

The consummation in a side room was the kiss of death in my believing them.  There was no sign at all of it at the time and no hint of it.  The origin was actually Jessa's wedding when a satire was posted and people at the time ran with it as real.  Jessa and Ben went off to have their first kiss in private and someone made up that they had consummated the wedding.  The blogger admitted it was fiction.

The reddit poster conflated the Jessa satire with Josh and Anna either deliberately or through memory failure IMO.

This is a different AMA. I remember the bodyguard, but I don't recall any details. I did wat the WOACB video because I was bored, and it matches up with @FleeJanaFree's account. Thing is, it was probably Jana, being the handy one left at home. Would Boobchelle even allow Josh to be alone with the younger sisters?

Yes he would. There was a family photo at Christmas time whit Josie sitting on Smuggar’s lap. The so called safety measures were bull shit.

Plus didn’t JB and Michelle leave the younger kids at home for a few days one time with Josh and Anna while they went on some mission or vacation or something with older kids? Sure, Anna was with him but wtf might have happened in the middle of the night when she was asleep? Or any time of day when she was distracted.

However, I’m with Coconut Flan. I don’t believe for a second about a quickie at Josh and Anna’s wedding.

Maybe you are right, but it sure sounded like something Josh would do.

It would humiliate and hurt Anna while putting one over the families.

Agree one should take AMAs with a heap of salt.

The girl’s mother is supposed to give her the information she will need.  I assume Anna’s mom told her the basics the night before the wedding if not earlier, but the basics probably didn’t prepare her.

i expect it was something along the lines of: “To start a baby your husband will put his male organ inside the place in your body out of which the baby will come.  Your husband has powerful needs because he is a man, and it is your duty to satisfy these needs.”  There may have been some stuff about kissing and a lot of stuff about God, but not necessarily any more detail about the sexual act.

It wasn’t a mission trip or vacation, it was for Josie’s extremely premature birth when Michelle had to go to Little Rock. I don’t recall the details, but I think a few of the oldest kids were out of town  -and maybe Jana and/or Jill was already accompanying Michelle ? So it was an emergency where the parents suddenly had to be gone for an extended period, there weren’t many of the older teens around, and they needed care for the many, many, many children. Remember this was 13 years ago,  so only a handful were adults.They then found some other relatives/friends to help, and then rented a house for them all to live in Little Rock. 

I don’t believe the quickie at the wedding story, it seems far too contrived and as has been said, conflated with the Jessa story — but do believe if these newly married couples are spending a few moments in the quiet church office they might make out a little. Especially if they were actually having a hard time with restraint and urges before marriage. But full on sex seems highly improbable. Like, why? 

My first thought with the hidden sister thing is that maybe one of the daughters was sneaking out and using that as a cover story. But more likely is there was some deadline to have a house ready and some of the siblings worked all night. 
 

So many of the Duggar rumors seem like a game of telephone, where. Everything gets more dramatic and weird with each telling — but on the other hand that’s exactly how the Josh rumors seemed, and those turned out to be real.
