I have said before I think the show was what kept the worst of the teens courtships off the air. They will have no qualms about an underage Hannie courting. After Jill standing up to Jim Bob, I think they will strongly push it for all daughters at a minimum.

I think most people would use words like spirited, or clever, or curious. She seemed - from when she was featured as a kid on 19 kids and counting- like she was very smart, articulate, an explorer who wanted to do things out of the realm she saw every day - like to be a Dr. . Oh goodness. Well, apparently they met in 2007 when the Duggars were starting to become more prominently known (at least that’s about when I first heard about them from my QF-minded church group) so that would make sense.

I read about them this morning too. They’re as bad at naming as the Duggars. They have a Christopher, Christian, Cristina and Crystal. They do have a Charlotte, but no Cade, Colter or Cambree...yet.

Aside from Charlotte, Hazel, and the boys with family names that they are not called, the rest of the Bates 3 generation don’t have what I would consider traditional or more mainstream, common names. Perhaps like many other parents, the goal is to be different or stand out? Most of the names are perfectly acceptable though.

I don't think it's helpful at all to label any kind of frequency as "normal" where sex is concerned. If you have sex daily, and you enjoy it and so does your partner, then that's fine. If others are happy with once a month or once a year, that's fine, too. If someone doesn't want to have sex at all or goes through a dry spell, it's not for me to judge either.

I personally can't imagine having sex on a daily basis while at the same time caring for 16 kids, but maybe that's just me. I'd never be able to get in the headspace I need after a full day spent wiping little bottoms, cleaning spit-up and handling temper tantrums. But people are different *shrugs*.

What I don't get is the need to tell newspaper reporters that you're having sex every day - that seems a lot like bragging to me. And the other thing I don't understand is the urge to have sex daily in order to have even more kids.

yes to every single part of this! I have one child and I'm sometimes exhausted and touched/needed out. I like, want and need sex but I regard it as just one of a range of things I might do to spend quality time with my partner. Doing it every day feels to me like a huge obligation. Or, perhaps, a duty, which I suppose is how they regard it.
