If we leave the house without him, Rudy makes sure to run to the windowsill that looks out on the cars and the last thing we see as we pull out of the driveway is this sad face.....

I love seeing all of y'all's fur babies, they’re all so precious!! This is my boy Moose waiting for me to give him back the stick he ripped off a dying tree in our yard 😂F18A5549-C527-4BE1-B630-44CCF475E91C.thumb.jpeg.0379fc3a68dd989a1fed6d0f8f22861d.jpeg

Beautiful wedding! And I haven't been through a Brisbane spring but have been through a Perth spring and that's pretty hot. And a Honolulu spring! I actually live in west O'ahu which is the semi-arid part of the island and it's been insanely hot the last few years, Like over 32 constantly and if you're in Brisbane you understand a hot humid 32-33 is like a desert 40, which I've also lived through in Moab, Utah in the Four Corners of the the States.

We visited Hawaii in July 2019. We’d been before, but it was always in the September to December time frame, when it was pleasantly warm. We were waiting for our rental car, and my husband, who melts at the first sign of heat, kept exclaiming about the heat. The guy working the rental counter finally looked at him deadpan and said “It’s Hawaii. In July. You were expecting…?” I couldn’t stop laughing. His delivery was perfect.

A picture of our kitty. We lost him last year, but he was a trip and an awesome cat. Here he is, pretending to be a crockpot.

Here’s what we did today. 🎄 They aren’t kidding about tree shortages in the US! The place we went only had maybe twenty trees left.

Loving this thread, much needed! Here's one of my favourite photos of my girl in her natural habitat (she refuses to come in the house when it snows) and my Christmas tree last year:

Hahaha I remember July 2019 was rough. July and August is in the 90s on my side of the island west of Honolulu, 32-33ish C. Then the summer usually has lighter trade winds, the nice breezes that blow air from the cold ocean NE of Hawai'i that keeps hurricanes mostly away and then goes up through the super high volcanic mountains and across the island and keeps us from being sweltering equatorial island hot and humid most of the year. My dad said growing up it might be in the mid 80s hot mid summer but now thats our average November and early December Temps. Mahalo climate change. But its okay most people don't realize that about Hawai'i!!

Feline headship. She keeps me under her umbrella of protection from mice, birds, wrappers from icecream, anything delicious on my plate…

Looks like she spotted a bug on the ceiling!

This is an oldish one, but here’s Cinnamon the guinea pig using the hay pile as a nest:

We had a family dinner tonight for the last night of Chanukah. I made stuffed cabbage and I'm very proud of my cabbage rolling

And the slightly less pretty photo of them post cooking. But they tasted good and only one fell apart, so I call it a win.
