Duggar Trial Respite Thread

It occured to me that we need a Duggar Trial Respite Thread. Some people were using the JRod thread for respite which could potentially suck since TIJWATA.

So post your Pets! Sunrises and Sunsets! That cute thing your offspring / grandoffspring did this morning. Feel good stories of any sort. I will find my photo of the burrowing Boston.

This is Bandit, the burrowing Boston Terrier. If he can't find a lap, he likes to burrow in the bedding.

Still Duggar related, but much more lighthearted than the rest of the discussion: I just realized this week that the guy who sings the "Fancy Like" song on the annoying new Applebees commercials with the TikTok dance is the same guy who sang during Jill & Derrick's proposal. Apparently he's expanded beyond awkward reality TV plot line aid.

Here's the IRL Indiana Bones and her brother, Simon. They are trapping me under my covers in bed in this pic.

This is a very happy Miss Molly after a long walk through the local national park. The only way she'd be interested in a Duggar is if they threw a tennis ball for her. Repeatedly.

I feel like this should be captioned "Look into my eyes. You will become my ball throwing minion."

My husband and I are driving home from our middle daughter’s holiday concert. She is going for her masters in cello performance. 🎄🎅🏼🥰 it’s the first time we’ve seen her play in almost two years.

Also here is Mr. Kitty, captured here mid-yawn  🤣

My kitty's “quit bugging me” face.  She’ll love me later when it’s time for treats. 😍

Okay one more for tonight.
Here I am in my happy place watching a James McMurtry live stream.  I’m his number one fan girl.
Taken last year when Wallace was still with us.

Some of my fur children. We recently adopted three kittens. Beatrice is the kitten there by herself. She sleeps with me at night under the covers. People join dating sites to find someone as affectionate as her, seriously. And then there's Tansy our labradoodle. She's a big huge baby. The sweetest most, patient dog I've ever owned. She's like having a horse inside your house but we forgive her because she's a sweetie pie.

All these beautiful fuzz babies. My resistance to a new cat is weakening. I know OneKid really wants one.

I LOVE all your pets!
I‘m nursing my 12 weeks old little baby boy right now. We had a rough start and he had to spend some time in the children‘s hospital, but for now he is doing great. He is such a happy little human being and takes breaks from nursing just to smile at his mama.

I tried to find one without my feet but that’s where Eevee lives. I’m her person and frankly the last few days she’s my unofficial emotional support animal. She likes long walks, human food which we limit but she’ll try and beg for endlessly and rolling in other animals’ poop 😬 we’re working through things 😂

This is Shadow, on the day she came home from the shelter in August 2018, just before her first birthday.  I thought I was going to have a chatty girl, but she actually turned out to be pretty quiet.

ETA - I just realized I should put a warning for sensitive viewers...they do show the stillborn foal, but it's not graphic, as in, it's not deformed or anything.  It looks like a normal foal that is asleep. But if you would like to skp that, skip over the following section where the stillborn is shown..... 1:13 to 2:23.
Original post -
In the category of wholesome/non-stressful/ SFW youtube channels, this is my favorite. Here is their most popular video...A mare has a stillborn foal, and is sucessfully fostered to a foal whose own mother recently died of colic.  Unlike some other mammal species, apparently horses don't really take to fostering, because their own bio offspring take so much energy.  So mares have an old instinct to kick away foals that are not their own. Which makes this extra special.  Enjoy

Guess I should update again? Frieda (Kiki, we renamed her) is here since the end of February 2021. She came with a bunch of problems, but is the best dog ever and is doing better every day. But we do now know how a dog with ptsd looks like. For real, not joking. If she is triggered during the day, she wakes up screaming at night. Not like dogs dream, but literally screaming. Other than that she went with us on countless trips, loves hiking and even cable cars. She is one heck of a fearless dog in situations who do not remind her of her old life.
My Grandpa passed away last May and I'm still grieving a lot. After sharing a house with my grandparents for over 30 years it is just horrible to lose one of them. Even though it was his decision and he got to go like he wanted. At home, in his bed during the night without doctors. He would have need more care and he did not want more care. So after turning 90 he decided to let go and became weaker and weaker.
In other news my dad stops working for good on April 1st. Retirement time. Keep my Mum and myself in your prayers. We really do not want him at home all the time. Haha!

I don't always make good decisions for myself due to severe depression but I did today actively decide not to do something that might have been detrimental for me and am very proud of myself.

Well, this is weird. At some point, recently, I broke my wrist. I had to get a Dexa-scan today (put it off for years) and along with some bone loss, damn I had it a few minutes ago… the results said, “Fracture risk is moderate, and the patient has a significant wrist fracture. Treatment is advised.”  my left wrist aches a little but not near as much as my back, feet, knees or fingers, damn RA. I have no idea how it happened. I haven’t fallen in 2 years, haven’t banged or bumped…  the dr will call tomorrow and we’ll get  this straightened out.
