Ashley Hoover had Scarlet Jeanette Hoover on the 23rd.

I don’t know why I thought she was having a boy.

The name's fine, but I probably wouldn't have picked both Scarlet and Jeanette in one combo.

Me neither; two names ending with the same sound grates on me.  A high-school friend of my mom named her first daughter “Maureen Eileen.”

@Bluebirdbluebell @smittykins If they pronounce the names according to how they’re actually spelled, the endings will sound slightly different. Jeanette is derived from French, where the “-ette” suffix is a stronger sound with more emphasis (basically, “ehTUH” but one syllable—it’s hard to explain in print) than “-et.”

My guilty pleasure is that I love the name Maddison - it’s forever ruined by Anna and her husband now, and it is very different to any other girl’s name I like. But now it’s out there.

The fact that I’m in my mid 40s with a mirena and my husband has had a vasectomy doesn’t stop me thinking about names haha.

Yes, but that makes it worse in my view. It makes the names go together even less.

I am well and truly done done having kids, but whenever someone I know is pregnant they come to me to borrow my stack of baby name books. I pretend it’s because I’m a writer and I need to name characters, but really I just like thinking about names.

OMG. She essentially has one every year, right? Must be so hard on her body.

I’m just glad her youngest has turned one. I get tired of her bragging about Irish twins and how many she has under one age. Her oldest is now 14. So she has to say 13 kids 14 and under instead of 13 kids 13 and under. I know it’s a minor thing. But she’s just always going on about this stuff and it’s so irritating to brag about it. That’s nothing to brag about in my opinion.

Courtney does the same. They take great pride in their fecundity. I guess when that's all you've got, you run with it.

I know she's been discussed a few times here but Ariel Tyson the Instagram mommy blogger had her 7th either today or yesterday.  Her first girl after 6 boys

I always suspected she was protesting too much with all those posts about how she wasn't trying for a girl. Big "thank God, finally" vibes from the announcement.

Has Clara had that baby yet? Need some brief distraction from the Duggar trial.

Not yet. She has been posting pictures from all of her kids’ birthday parties this year since she hadn’t been posting them on her social media break.

Haley (Long) Ramm & husband Reagan had their daughter, Halo Brielle, on December 5th (16 days late), according to a public post on their Andromeda Coast FB page. This is their 3rd child and I believe Asher was born in early 2018 so that's 3 3-and-under for them so far.

I get what they're going for with "Halo" but a) I can immediately think of a half-dozen schoolyard jokes and b) with a mom named Haley, it sounds a little like this:574c77875dfb3297e8a565c75a3fb7aa.png.e237f02804facfd538dd05b92a7d2d4b.png

Halo is a pretty cool name! I like girl names that end in O like Cleo or Juno. However I'm glad I don't know a Halo because Beyonce's song would forever play in my mind on repeat.
