Well I guessed Daisy this time, but I guessed Deborah for both Destiny and Peter so I'm calling it a win for me anyway.

So thank you all for the help, I've enjoyed the links, especially David conducting at his wedding, he clearly just wanted to lead from the front right from the start, no surprise he has ended up being a preacher!

What I can't find is a link to the Pecan story, it seems to have gone from their blog.

Deborah and Dinah would have been at the top of my list if they hadn’t gone with slightly more unusual girl names in the past. Not my fave name (it was wildly popular in the 50s and 60s so I knew tons of Deborahs/Debras/Debbies/Debs growing up). However, it’s a pretty, classic name and I’m surprised it isn’t used more often among Biblical types.

In terms of future blessings, I’m guessing 2 more before they slow down, then possibly a straggler once she hits her 40s. David is competitive, so I’m sure he wants more kids than Josh and Anna. They are one of the few families that actually seems to enjoy having all these kids.

What's the text in the pink frame on the nightstand? I can't quite make it out.

It’s Jeremiah 1:5, the favorite verse of the pro-life movement.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
    before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

Note that the KJV says “belly” instead of “womb,” so Jill Rodrigues might have mixed feelings about it.

That’s decent spacing for a quiverful fundie. Michelle, Kelly, Jill, and a few other fundie moms had their first 6 in much closer spacing than that. Maybe that’s partly why David and Priscilla seem more at ease with their family life.

Oh goodness, that is a very big bag of pecans!!!  I really didn't get the moral of David's story, but I guess I'm not his target audience......I'm not surprised he's scrubbed it from his blog, maybe he's realised that some of it sounded quite racist.

Homegirl Davia looks over it:

My mom has a bunch of pictures of me at that age with a similar "take the damned picture already" look.

I’m getting in early with my guess for Pecanette #7 … Diana. I think she will break the boy-girl pattern and that we will debate until her birth announcement whether her name will start with P or D 🤣

Is it just me, or does Pris look just like Mrs. Waller? 🤔

Deborah took the lead in battle when the men couldn’t make up their minds to act. Thus she is seen as an example of the TeRrIbLe ThinG that happened when men aren’t STRONG MANLY LEADERS! The best some conservatives can  say about ole Deb* is that “she didn’t want to usurp the G-given order of Creation and Authoriteh, but she didn’t have a choice. And nothing like that should ever happen again, men.” I guess it is one of the few times I’ve heard men fussed at For their conduct.

Anyhoo:

I hope they’re pronouncing it the Hebrew way: Deh-BORE-uh :)

*Meaning no disrespect to the prophet Deborah. At least I didn’t say “Debbie!”

My late sister’s name was Deborah.  She was smart and very attractive, and she could beat the snot out of anyone dumb enough to pick on her sisters.

Many many moons ago, when I was nearly six my Mum gave birth to my little sister. Mum always found choosing names difficult so after picking her first name I got to choose the second name, and I picked Deborah, so yes Pecan family, I think you've made a pretty good choice😁

My sister is a fiery redhead, if little Deborah is anything like my  little sis, they are in for quite a ride 😆

That said, I think that she is probably even more suppressed than many other women and she is someone that I would see as being high risk to be emotionally abused in relationships (family, church members etc) because I’m not sure that she is able to stand up for herself.

Years ago there was a video with David and Priscilla speaking.   From that video alone, you know that she was trained literally from infancy to be subservient and  submissive and to project that through a breathy little girl voice. This childish voice is cultivated among some extreme fundy women.  It's awful to hear because it indicates the speaker does not believe they have anything worth saying or have to suppress their thoughts to not offend whatever male is present.  There's also a "keep sweet no matter what" element that requires a happy public face regardless of circumstances.

One of my sisters taught school & made her love of pink known. One birthday, all the male teachers wore pink shirts to show their regard for her. Adorable!

That’s really sweet!

@LittleMy I thought at first you were referring to the family photo as the big bag of pecans. Don’t read in reverse order is the moral of the story for me. Davia and Paul are growing up. Unlike so many other families, the kids are all a healthy colour and look well cared for. Maybe pecan gleaning pays off in health dividends?

Lots of minerals and nutrients in fresh pecans 😄

And I'm an older genteel English lady who knows not to refer to a family as a big bag of pecans😁  However I have really poor written communication skills so I can quite understand anyone misunderstanding me !!!

When I saw the photo of David’s parents with the children, for a moment I thought David and Priscilla had suddenly aged 30 years. They look like an older version of D and P.

Well, I've never in my life seen a couple who look more like one another than Pecan and Pris, so this makes sense...

Davia is likely at the sister mom age and expected to be more helpful and do more with the baby then her older brother.  She has the baby, not the oldest (penis wielding) child or a grandparent.

In addition to the breathiness, in her early videos with David she had so many oddly placed hesitancies that we speculated that she suffered from a serious speech defect or perhaps even  a cognitive deficiency.  The Fabulous David Waller had for so long been avoiding marriage that some wondered if the families paired up the kidults whom no one else would touch. (Though in hindsight, Priscilla’s family did far worse for Esther and Anna.) Then a video of Pris and Anna surfaced in which her speech seemed fine, and we worried that the hesitancies arose from her nervousness in David’s fabulous presence, but that’s gone now,  thankfully, with just the breathiness left. I hope it’s because she feels more confident and valued than she did as a newlywed,  but who knows?

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
