I read Madeline's birth story and then the May entry, in which she gave an update on her heart issues.  Apparently Chelsy's valve is leaking so she is not out of the woods regarding future surgery.  I sure hope they are preventing.  

Actually, if all the Maxwell sons eventually got the snip in the interest of their wives'/ families well being and health, it would bring the Stevehovah vasectomy saga full circle.  That would be amazing.

So it looks like Chelsy originally included some photos of John either in her blog post on 1 September featuring Madeline's photos, or she created a general 'family update' photo after it which she later deleted.

Anyway, that post included some photos of John where she'd blacked out the name on his t-shirt. 

A sleuth on Reddit figured out that the company was Concilium, which looks like a Christian organisation that provides support, including security services, for missionaries who go to "restricted access locations" or "complex humanitarian environments" i.e. places that don't accept missionaries.

I suppose he might not be involved with the organisation directly, and might have been providing contracted IT services or something, but it all looks a bit like "black ops missionaries" to me, and I'm not surprised Chelsy tried to remove the evidence of his involvement.

Concilium is based not far from them (Kansas City, MO)

The picture is still there.  She said she blocked it out because they are involved in it.  I was wondering why John's facebook just had pictures of police patches of cops killed in the line of duty.  My cousin is a retired cop and he posts those same logo things that look like patches.  Even if you're a big cop supporter, you don't really post those pictures unless you're a cop.  I just found it odd that John posted those.  Kind of wondered if he was becoming a cop.  Would make sense if he has joined that line of work in some way, even if not a police officer.  Security for the missionaries, maybe?

She updated her blog to give some good, practical information on toddler chairs and other items. Adorable photo of the 3 kiddos. Can’t imagine having kids aged so close together - they are currently ages 3, 2 and 1.

We had her exact high chair. The colors are even the same. Yes, both my boys used it but my kids hated be locked into anything. So they would only last about 10 minutes. Then they wanted down. We also used the same exact sippy cups (same color yet again) and the same baby silverware. We never used those bibs though. Because my kids hated bibs with a passion. The biggest difference between me and Chelsy as a mother is that I don’t constantly force everything I think is best on my kids. If Chelsy’s kids hate the bibs, it doesn’t matter. They will wear them. And if they are like the Maxwells, they will wear them until age 5! She forces her children into molds of behavior and that’s how she can have 3 this young. I would never parent like the Bontragers.

Thanks for the notice! I don't mind posts like this - it's actually useful! My brother's family never used high chairs (they used the same boosters) and then we followed their lead when my son was little. It does save space! I wish other fundies made more practical posts like this one.

I’m surprised the oldest is still locked into a booster with a tray, but I suppose it is easier for Chelsy to keep them contained. Elliot is clearly well trained with the way he holds his hands up, not touching his food, and Madeline won’t be allowed to feed herself oatmeal yet, nope, too much chance that she’ll be a mess. I don’t quite get how you go from not using to using utensils without at least a couple messy years in there but what do I know.

Since my kids disliked bibs, I didn’t force it on them like Chelsy would. I just decided they could eat topless if they were eating something messy like yogurt. I would just take off their shirt, let them eat, wipe off their face and chest when done, and put their clean shirt back on.

I was looking at Chelsy's blog and revisiting her November 2021 blog about seeing the Johnson Strings in Branson MO, and she said

"Laura (center) is the eldest of the Johnson siblings and pours herself into their show!!  She is a woman of many talents, playing ten instruments in the show! An interesting fact is that she is also a photographer and was actually John and my wedding photographer! My sis in law Sarah (left) met her at John and my wedding and they have stayed in touch since. After John and I planned to attend their show last week, we found out that Sarah was going to be in Branson that weekend attending the same show! What fun. "

I wonder if Sarah had a date at that concert? Branson would be an mighty convenient spot for folks who live in Leavenworth KS and El Reno OK to meet! : )  There is a picture showing the arm of a  guy sitting next to Sarah, and then next to him appears to be John, holding one of the kids.

I remember we were so excited to see Sarah off doing fun things by herself instead of constantly chaperoned by sisters or parents. But if she was planning on meeting up with Kory for a date, that’s even better. I hope they had multiple unchaperoned dates before they got married.

Thanks for this! Is it a recent change? If not, I wonder if he put that while they were living near the hospital where their daughter was in the NICU. I think it was in Kansas City? But I could be remembering it wrong...

Jesse and Anna live the Kansas City area. Don’t Joe an Elissa also live in that area? Are all the reversal brothers living in the KC area now? 

The only ones left living in Maxhell are the oldest two boys. Everyone else has flown the coop.

If they have or are having another kid, it makes sense to live there, close to the more advanced hospitals and specialists. I’m sure that Chelsy would need a high-risk Ob/gyn and a cardiologist with a speciality or a lot of experience with high risk pregnant people, and those might be hard to find in Leavenworth.

She doesn’t look pregnant currently but I’m sure there will be a future pregnancy. I don’t think Chelsy will be happy with just 3 children.
