Don't forget peeing all over the toilet/floor. Cause you know he's that asshole.

He’s going to be very disappointed when there isn’t an army of females ready to serve his every wish at the Reber’s house. Hehe.

I have a question.    The computers and phone were seized in 2019.   Can the Feds also come in and take any other computers currently in Josh's home?      What are the possibilities/probability  of the Feds doing intense monitoring of anyone associated with Sumggar internet usage?    I have no idea of what the legalities of expanding the investigation of the entire family and associates?

I am checking out for a few hours to watch my Bruins and the Rangers.  Thank you for the posts of your fur babies of if you have cats your lord, commander and bosses.  I need a break from Josh and the ugliness he has wrought.

So I’m going to watch.something non-violent like an NHL game :laughing-rofl:

I would think they'd need a new warrant. Not sure about tracking IP addresses.

Rachael Denhollander has another long, but definitely worth reading thread about this case.

For those unfamiliar with her, she is from a very conservative background, is a lawyer, has been very open about being one of Larry Nassar's victims in the USA Gym abuse case, and is a huge part of why that whole house of cards finally came crashing down due to her advocacy and speaking out (she was the first to publicly come forward with her name associated with her testimony).

So her perspective and background are really unique in terms of understanding this situation from a lot of sides at once. (Her book is also a worthwhile read, IMO, FYI)

This was a great thread. I do slightly question her point that we as a culture don’t make a big deal about CSA. While all the problems and imperfections of the system need remedy, I think most people are pretty horrified by it, especially in spite of a pretty sexually permissive general culture.

For instance, today I read about a WA elementary school board member who was in the news for her sex-toy shop open to “all ages.” She was trying to advance some sex positive messaging, but in the process she is over sexualizing young children. I mean that is “normal” in some communities and other communities block swimsuits but we are still collectively outraged by abuse even if we are blind to the ways these extremes contribute to it. I hear very few people minimizing Josh’s charges. Even the defenders suggest a setup or fake news over saying “well, it’s not that bad.”

My point being that despite our varied backgrounds and perspectives many adults absolutely do think this is a big deal, evidenced by the fact that the FEDS have teams for this, caught him, and he may be going to jail. All of that is more of an “and” observation than a “but,” though.

I wish we could have similar outrage over spanking, etc. and the physical abuse in general population and these movements. I remember reading a homeschooler anonymous story about the intense trauma of bare bottom spanking and how sexually confusing that was to young people when they hit puberty and how sexual desire became mixed up with abuse. Rachaels Twitter thread touches on that. I am not a psychologist but it seems common sense that being in a culture where that kind of “spanking” was everywhere- perhaps even required by older siblings to do as authorities to younger ones - that there are these kind of results.

Freejinger psychologists and mental health people, is there a professional take on this?

Part of my job is working with sex offenders (court ordered). Not many people know I do this work.  It takes a lot out of me emotionally so I don't talk about it.  Some started as young teens watching porn at school, some were trafficked,  and others just straight up sociopaths.  The repeat offenders become very good at covering their crimes and become more sophisticated with continued offenses.  Because I have not examined the individual named in this thread I can not ethically speculate where he falls on this continuum.  Suffice to say IF the individual had gotten help as a teen, there is a possibility this thread would not exist.

I surely hope they aren't.  But if the wife and daughter "accepted " the husband's agreement to babysit, that's the only life they know.

I think our point is that there kinda still is.

Mr. Reber gets to work as the headship. But Mrs Reber has to stay at home with Josh and SAHD Reber has just had her job severely restricted.

So they'll do the same womanly work as normal for 2 men. And then Anna.....she's probably going to bring him baked goods to sustain them in prayer sessions or some such bullshit.

His lifestyle will not change until he wears the jumpsuit.

<snip>

IMO she was saying the mindset (including that a porn addiction in general) is the issue that isn't deemed a big enough deal (in conservative circles, esp., but even in the courts, in this case) NOT that people don't think CSA is a big enough issue.

Unless Tom Wilson was traded to the Bruins overnight, it should be quite civil compared to last night.

I’m sorry - I know the Flyers have had a very disappointing season.  What happened to Hart? While I think “penguins” :penguin: are cute and adorable, I loathe and detest #87 and his crew.

If a whole bunch of Pens fans come and start giving me thumbs down you’re gonna have to stick up for me ?

I have a very hard time believing that “ some started as young teens watching porn at school” is a true statement about this issue. While I’m sure somewhere some teen has accessed porn at school it certainly shouldn’t be first in a list of how kids become sex offenders. Where’s your data to back this up?

You would be surprised what some religious people will do for others they think are righteous. I bet there is less remuneration than one would hope :(

If I read the Sun article right, Mr. Reber said he was not going to be paid. That may have been “not counting for room and board,” of course. ?

I think the Sun article also said that Mrs Reber was friends with Michelle and felt she owed her for past kindnesses.   I am going by memory here because if I stop to look for the exact references I will never catch up on this thread.

I don’t know Wilson last night was playing like he thinks he’s untouchable. Kind of reminds me of somebody else we all know and don’t love.  I as a diehard Bs fan the next time somebody complains to me about  #63 I’m going to hold Wilson up as an example of Brad is not that bad

Yeah the league really botched it with that one. George Parros is a moron and should be fired because there’s no way Wilson should be playing before next season.  I can say that and not get fired $250,000

As a Lightning fan, I think Marchand is the human embodiment of a Disney villain rat. But he's not as completely unhinged as Wilson. You have to be a special breed to make #63 look reasonable.

Most teens watch (some) porn at some point. Or a lot. I fail to see how legal porn leads anyone to pedophilia. The feeling/need for prepubescent CSA has to already be there.

I have been following the threads and am gobsmacked but not surprised he got bail but the thing is he’s allowed access to his kids, his own kids with his brainwashed wife. That I can’t get my head round she can’t keep them safe. She’ll do as she’s told as she has no anatomy to her own self.

I do find this triggering as CSA never goes away when filmed it’s out there for life watched by lowlifes and scum. The victims are reliving their hell all over again and again.

in between these threads I’ve hugged my grandchildren a little closer along side my dogs too. I’ve watched fluff tv so I don’t sink in to my thoughts to much.
