Definitely proposal. Her parents are there too. Maybe they will have live instagram proposal since they put some hints 😂

Per Tiffany’s Instagram stories her parents are there too. It seems very probable that there will be an engagement. Goodness Kelly’s nest is emptying fast! Soon it will only be Trace and the youngest eight at home.

Oh, there is absolutely positively gonna be a proposal. And if the proposal is in Rome, where the f**k will the honeymoon be? Mars?

And I believe that all these asshats are vaccinated, but will continue to pretend to be anti-vax just for the social media attention from the drooling base.

gah, these people.

Interesting that they are at a restaurant. Presumably they would have to  show proof of vaccination?

I’m not sure about Italy, but in Germany, you can always show a negative test that’s less than 48 hours old. Also, ive been out to eat twice, and have not been checked for vaccination status. When I was checked at Uni, no one bothered to check that it’s actually my name on there, and they were quite baffled when I walked them if they wouldn’t check my name.

I wonder if she is going to pretend to be all surprised at the proposal and if she will do a more convincing job than Gwen Shambling.

He was at an indoor wedding reception on Friday with most likely many other people who are unvaccinated, so I don't feel like a test on the flight a day or so later means anything. Hopefully they don't spread anything in Italy. So selfish.

Guessing he told Tiffany it was a trip for Kelly's bday to throw her off and so his parents can get to know her parents better. Lawson can't let his young BIL's out do him with fancy engagement proposals. Wait...will this be a "courtship" proposal or have the guys ditched that🤔??

I'm curious, I live in a heavily blue/liberal major metropolitan area in the US.  Yet it's super easy to find places to eat, drink, explore, where vaccine rules, mask rules, etc. are not followed/enforced.  Is this not true in Europe?

Tiffany is an actress. Let's see how convincing her surprise is when Lawson disappears, Carlin pops up screeching with some fake flowers and tacky props, then Lawson returns in a fancy outfit with a guitar singing about how in love with himself he is but how she compliments him and brings him new followers.

Will she be able to summon up fake tears for the camera crew? My bet is yes.

The actual strength of the Bindi Irwin friendship will be clear when Tiffany puts together her bridesmaids.

Ohhhh I missed this. They are friends? But Bindi seems so awesome!

My husband is from Rome and I lived there for many years. The last time we went in September and we always had to show our green pass (vacc. certificate) at indoor places and wearing a mask was enforced everywhere. The green pass was mandatory sometimes even in outside museum areas and restaurants.

From personal experience in Germany, some restaurants just don’t check if you’re vaccinated, tested, or have recovered. However, you don’t know whether you’ll be asked for a negative test, vaccine stamp, etc. so you can’t really go somewhere without any documentation and expect that you can enter.
As I’m vaccinated and in favor of the measures taken against COVID-19, it annoys me that I don’t always get asked for my vaccine papers. Those measures should keep us all safe, but they often don’t get enforced.

Such a small world! Who would have thought Bindi would be linked to Tiffany! Long story short, my family did some earthmoving work for the grandfather, Bob at the zoo many, many years ago!  So I grew up in the local area too.

Sorry to pop the bubble, Terri, Bindi and Robert ( and to a slightly lessor degree, Steve) have a quite mixed reaction here, to say the least.  Particularly given the way they have treated Bob after Steve died - there are two sides to every story, and both sides in this particular one have some work they need to do to resolve it.

My personal feelings are this:

Going to the zoo is like a cult of Steve (he is presented as an almost god-like visionary) - and his wife and children. The work his parents did is significantly understated. Having grown up in the cult like world of conservative Baptist/homeschooling, there are definite vibes that personally make me uncomfortable whenever I have visited.

My thoughts? I think Steve was a bit of a moderating influence on Terri, and now that he is gone, she has definitely taken Steve as her guiding light (due to grief), and just driven the whole show accordingly. I get very concerned by how indoctrinated and relatively isolated from locals Bindi and Robert were growing up - it was media and the zoo/conservation - not much else - they were also both homeschooled. My reading is that they are a very co-dependent family unit, the Terri has definitely encouraged that dynamic.

On one level, I find the whole situation fascinating on a psychological level - the family dynamics etc - how neither child appears to have much of an interest in anything else. It’s all about the zoo and continuing Steve’s legacy. But I also find it a bit tragic. Because I don’t think the whole situation would have panned out the way it has if Steve was still alive.

Maybe they’re eloping🙂

That’s about as likely as them becoming atheists. Lawson will never pass up a chance to be the center of attention for an entire day. His wedding will be worse than Nathan’s.

I'm now sitting here trying to picture how Lawson will try to outdo Nathan's wedding.

- A Bollywood theme where Lawson enters riding on an elephant?

-A beach wedding where Lawson enters the ceremony from the ocean via surfboard, scuba, speed boat or riding the back of an orca?

-A desert wedding where Lawson enters riding a camel or perhaps, dressed as Jesus and entering on a humble donkey (just kidding)

-A Western themed wedding where Lawson and the groomsmen ride horses to the ceremony, with Lawson dressed as the Rhinestone Cowboy

-A circus themed wedding where the entire Bates family emerges from a little clown car (just kidding again)

I'm not guessing about Tiffany because we all know the wedding will be focused on Lawson.

Honestly, what a long way our fundies have come from weddings where brides dressed in modstrocities and grooms in too-big suits celebrated in the church basement with cake and mints.

I totally believe that Lawson's horse will be involved in the ceremony.

And I'd recommend that all Residenti a Roma stay inside this week, because sometime in the next few days, in some public place (the Forum? the Pantheon? the Spanish Steps?), Lawson, cameramen in tow, will appear with a guitar and "surprise" Tiffany, serenading her with a song and proposing. Its going to be gross. And she will be shocked!  Happy tears will flow!

My money is on either INSIDE the Pantheon, in Piazza Navona at sunset, or in front of the Trevi Fountain.

Ha ha ha!

I’m thinking a combination of a few of these - an over-the-top wedding “triathlon”, if you will.  Lawson (and his guitar) arriving on the back of an orca, at sunset, mounting an elephant on the beach and riding it into a rodeo ring where he slips into a horses saddle and gallops up to a prop castle with Tiff in the turret lowering a rope down to him to climb.  Fireworks ensue forth with!

Pretty sure they had to admit they were courting before, say, going to Hawaii together. Katie had a courtship proposal, but did Nathan?

I am cackling at these wedding suggestions for this pair and will be SEVERELY disappointed if they do not at least match the extra-ness of Nathan's wedding.

Should we start a betting pool/fantasy tackstravaganza league/bingo card for the Tiffson nuptials?

I will add Lawson's dog wearing a suit leading the pooping horse in a procession down the aisle. Oh and the groomsmen will visibly carry guns and wear their fake law enforcement badges. They too will ride their horses and Trace (if he is best man) will do a stunt with Lawson.

I love baseball but I'm dreading the new season because the White Sox ownership is THE FUCKING WORST. I watched Dominican League Baseball (Lidom!) over the winter and fell in love with their joy, spirit, and exuberance. The broadcasts were in Spanish and my Spanish is pretty weak but I loved catching phrases and repeating them. Bombe! I'm sad about MLB and Commissioner Idiota's busywork rules. But I love baseball, always and forever.
I guess I don't have a point. Just bitching. Te amo mucho, Lidom!

      Happy International Women's Day!

Humanity may have some work to do, to improve gender equality, but I was glad to hear that France has taken an important step to protect healthcare for women (and people of other genders who can get pregnant).

Feeling ragey this morning. I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon in the hope of getting help for an ongoing injury. I went to a (different!!) doctor late last year who completely blew me off. He wouldn't do diagnostic testin, he refused to send me to a specialist, and he just told me to "take it easy" and "take ibuprofen." I'm hopeful for today's appointment but I'm also feeling a SEVERE amount of rage at that doctor from last year!

Well, the rash is back with a vengeance. It never completely cleared up. I saw the derm yesterday and they did another swab and yup, raging infection again, still? It is definitely strep skin infection. I am getting so damn tired and run down from this. Who the f would immagine being hospitalized freaking TWICE for a rash?

My niece is going to be a seat filler at this year's Academy Awards.  Seat fillers are asked to wear tuxedos regardless of sex/gender.  If you see a pretty young woman with very curly hair, it could be my niece.
